Dishonorable kills should be removed or adjusted

Lol. Silithus WPVP was added when they still had DHKs. Assuming they hold true to form, it’ll still be there in Classic. I meant, what did they change about the actual NPC civilians.

Made them invincible? Gave them a super fast respawn time? I have no idea world pvp is pretty dead on every tbc server I go to

Honestly DHK’s should just only apply to players of grey level compared to you. Killing low levels, now that’s dishonor.

What about my bloodlust in STV?

What if i’m a level 60 and a level 30 keeps attacking me, what? Am i suppose to let him kill me?

Also you can’t get dishonorable kills from players.

Yea I’m not a #nochange guy, I’m upfront about preferring Vanilla with sprinkles, but I’m saying the guys coming from that PoV do in fact have a logically consistent point (because both DHKs being there and not are true, similar to CRBGs), so I’ll claim solidarity with them to at least discuss the topic on it’s merits (without the need to jump through some extra mental hoops to justify it’s ‘authenticity’).

I don’t think DHKs add anything to the game, nor do they ‘fix’ the problem they were intended to solve (griefing your fellow players via slaughtering their NPC quest givers and vendors). So if I get a vote, toss it; just IMO.

True enough, I’m just pulling this out of my rear at this point but I imagine it would only count as a DHK if you swung first. Kind of like how on PVE servers if you got flagged it was pretty much your fault if you got camped as a result.

What do you mean swung first???

Player1 sees player2.
Player1 targets player2.
Player1 casts spell at player2.
The spell connects.
Player1 has swung first, I figured this was kind of self explanatory.

Dishonorable kills arent from players killing other players

And? your point?

True. The player always swings first :stuck_out_tongue:

We can however talk about someone near you being the one who swung, and everyone bearing the burden of that person having done so.

I’m awaaaare but they were originally implemented to keep players from griefing, and the current DHK’s don’t really do that to the degree blizzard was hoping, it kind of just punishes you for engaging in pvp near NPC’s.

If it were applied to something like ganking low level players then it’d certain do more good and more aptly reflect it’s name.

If you wanted to kill half the population of the game In a day you would tie DHks to killing low level players

He’s right. World PVP devolved into “How many people can I kill while they level in STV”

Don’t try to jab at someone as having no intention of playing Classic very long when you have outright said you’re not playing at all.

Buh-bye.

Yes but that’s a part of the world… some high level players from your faction show up and you have some naturally occurring world pvp.

Not saying it isn’t. Agreeing that a change to DHKs such that it would affect level differentials like that, would be counter to what Vanilla was.

Dude, I dont care if they dont value my measly $15/month. I dont play now, and nothing will be lost if I continue to not play. Why pay for something if they insist on adding things to it which helped make my initial decision to unsub?
They can choose to ignore history. I won’t.

Ah huh. You’re arguing that Blizzard is ignoring history by implementing DHKs. Right. That’s absurd.
