They updated the launcher with a breaking news toast letting us know that they are aware and looking into the problem.

theres an update when you’re at the WoW login screen addressing the issue and it says they’re working on it

“They responded to the issue”
The gave us a default response they use whenever the server has trouble, saying it has to do with the authentication servers, but since it crashed while waiting for character select, that isn’t the case. They just threw up a canned response to pacify us.
