Ranks 7-11 give 4 pages for a full clear

Back in February, there was an additional catch-up mechanic introduced for the Fear and Flesh book.

It would help to know which rank exactly. As I mentioned, you only start needing more than 2 pages per upgrade after rank 8.
But ultimately, a guild member of mine was in a relative situation in that they were dead when we got around to killing the boss in one of our runs, and when we were teleported back out to collect our rewards, they were unable to resurrect in order to open the chests.
When reaching out to a GM, the pages weren’t able to be restored, but they were able to collect the mementos they would have gotten, presumably from cross-referencing with the other members of the party that were in the same vision. Likely due to the nature of the visions being repeatable, which keeps the game masters’ hands tied.

If you click on your character icon at the top right of this page, you will be given an option to change character. Then you can pick a new character with which to post. You might need to refresh the page though.

For rank 8 you only need 2 pages to complete the quest. You can not loot more in a run then what is needed to complete the quest, essentially you can’t stock up more then the last quest, for the next quest.

And if blizzard wasnt going to reimburse people for lost loot in repeatable content maybe they should have made sure that loot system works properly 100% of the time b4 rushing it out or just not caring about its problems

Yes, but that inaction isn’t a decision they made the moment they read your ticket. It’s a decision made based on a policy set forth by the developers that they must adhere to if they wish to keep working as a game master.

Edit: Sorry, I missed the full explanation, though it still remains… I’m wondering if your death during fights in those areas is what made you ineligible. “Helping with” and “completing” may be entirely different for Visions, based on my experience of helping folks through areas they shouldn’t be in yet.
Just a question… if you’re going 8-9 cloak, how are you doing a 4-clear? Are you grouped with someone?
If you’re grouped with someone, are you dead when the bosses are killed? Because if you are (and you’re in a group), you won’t get pages for those bosses. I confirmed this last night while helping someone with a 10-cloak level with my 12-cloak. They died before the boss was pulled, and did not get a page for that kill. So while we cleared 3 areas, only 2 pages were available to my party member.

Yes 2 people and no I completed objectives and even did damage to every end area boss but the final one giving the corrupted loot item. Should not be an issue. Actually I believe that if your in the vission you should get rewards for as far as the group gets but for gold farming reasons I get why they didnt do that a bit. People would charge more if they got corrupted loot and stuff from it. But there is 0 reason I shouldn’t have gotten credit for everything but the final boss.
Without other insight, I can only say that you’ll want to put in a bug report in the bug forum. I can only speculate based on personal experience what could cause you to be ineligible for a page; I’ve never attempted to 4-clear an instance with someone sporting a level 8 cloak. I would expect the level 8 to be dead a lot from sanity death, and that’s my only thought on why you lost pages. Whether that’s intended or not is what the bug report would be for.
If you do put in for a bug report, you might recall (for the post) where you died, how long you were dead, when you were rezzed, etc.
