Did you really just break another promise?

Someone else(s) contradicted me in a thread where I said this, but I found it FAR harder to earn the 3,000 gold back when that was the way to get flight; by comparison I found it easy to get Pathfinder when Pathfinder was introduced.

Each time we COULD get Pathfinder, in whatever expansion, I had it within 2 weeks; I found it WAY more difficult to make 3,000 gold back in MOP (or whichever one had you buy flying for 3,000 gold.)

I didn’t play MoP so can’t comment, I remember you needed gold for cold flying but I had the gold available going into wrath. Flying was also available on lvl 70 ding in BC, its just that epic flying required some gold. Personally I was never gold starved in the game.

Pathfinder is annoying to me because it’s just not work I find satisfying. Plus I’m feeling a bit tilted, I got every single pathfinder in every single expac except BfA
and that’s the only one they didn’t give out. So not only was my work fruitless in hindsight, I don’t even get it work free the one time they do give it out.

I’ll grind for conduits and gems but don’t make me do RNG kill rares for random amounts of resource.

Handed lol

Grind, after grind, after grind after grind, all on top of the garbage covenant system we got and white knights come in here talking about stuff being “handed” to you.

No, the quote was actually that player power wouldn’t be tied to the new cypher of the first ones.

Well technically in our contract for work we didn’t have a clause that says you would not be target of misogyny.

I guess that makes it okay.

So first of all, they never said the zone wouldn’t be tied to it; they said the cypher was for casual play and optional.

Second of all, this is an MMORPG and the game will never, ever, ever be designed so you can completely disregard new content and still be the top of the top, that is literally against the entire philosophy of MMORPGs as a whole.

Third of all, WoWhead already posted the dailies take approx 25mins a day, 10 with flying, and if you think that’s a grind then you honestly should not play any online game of any kind as you’re in for a rough run anywhere.

It is insane to me how many people want to log in each patch day and be in full, top end, fully socketed gear and never have to actually do anything which defeats the entire purpose of this style of game in the first place.

Getting revered with this one takes 28 days according to Wowhead, so about a month.

The wowhead article is speculative, admits itself that it is incomplete, and contradicts stuff I was seeing on the PTR yesterday.

People really need to stop treating the first thing they read like it’s gospel, especially when it says itself that it is NOT gospel.

How often does Blizzard completely change something like this on the PTR? Rarely ever. And you are the one that came in here making a claim that you in no way can support saying it will just take a couple weeks. All we have to go off of is the speculation of the WoWhead article.

All it says is “It’s important to highlight that this information is about the current state of the PTR, which is subject to change.” This is the case for literally every single PTR post they make and it rarely gets changed. If they change it, great. If they don’t it will take 4 weeks to get revered. Nothing I said is false.

And you act like these estimate by Wowhead are pulled from thin air, it’s mathed out with the current figures Blizzard has given on the PTR.

“It will only take a couple of weeks” (No source)

“WoWhead says it will take four weeks” (Speculative source, but a source nonetheless)

“Wow, you people really need to stop treating your online sources about an online video game like gospel”

A bunch of stuff in the zone is different from how it was just yesterday morning.

No, I said it generally takes a couple of weeks. We have no idea how this will turn out.

Please read.

Didn’t they just say that they wouldn’t tie player power behind the cypher progress thing?

Yes, which has been pointed out many, many, many times.

But they HAVE to be angry about SOMETHING, you see. And this is the Daily Outrage for now.

Got to keep people on that treadmill.

This is the sort of stuff that happens when you design a game around analytics.

I’m really not envious of they devs ay. There is nothing they can say or do that won’t be met with unjustied vitriol. I wish that the community managers eouldnpostbhere more but its no wonder why they don’t when the forums are like this.

I take this move as a sign that they dont have proper content worth playing
so they forcing the rep grind in order to increase “player engagement” for board & shareholders.

Blizzard needs to clean up these forums. There are people who literally do nothing but complain about everything. Every day.

How is it white knight ming to point out that what people are claiming isn’t what was actually said? Facts don’t matter?

Nothing wrong with complaining Imo. If. And in this case its a Kim kardashian rear end sized if. People get thier facts straight.
