Did they remove buffs attached to your personal resource display?

You can though, by editing the in game layout. Basically I went into it and “fixed” it, I only wanted the things back that I ticked under the personal resource thing. You can turn on the manager then hide everything you don’t want

You can also just turn on the manger, edit the layout and hide every part of it except the tracked buffs part. I did it manually, no addon required

I thank you for your effort!
I would just like to see blizz do revert the change so i dont have to use a weakaura at all

I hear you, and if I used this feature myself, I might also be fine with that strategy. That said, the person I made this WA for missed the way the buffs were anchored to the personal display, and sometimes even a little bit of change in these regards can annoy people a lot, if it is the main thing they stare at in their favorite game for hours.

I’m sure people can use the Tracked Buffs panel to get pretty close, but this stopgap might help people that want it to behave exactly like it did before.

I imported it on my warrior and gave it a try, but it wasn’t showing anything; not sure if there’s something more I need to do for the buffs to show. I appreciate the thought/effort though.

You actually can’t. You can edit the positioning and the overall display, but you cannot customize individual buffs or Cool Downs.

You can’t even mute the annoying sound ques Blizzard baked into certain abilities (seemingly at random) which is really, really distracting.

I don’t need a chime for Fists of Fury. I don’t need my CD’s to flash red when I’m out of range.

What I do need is to track Wisdom of the Wall buffs, but it doesn’t even track Hero Talents.

This was actually quite jarring - especially unannounced.

I much prefer the lightweight tracking on the personal resource display, please return it as an option.
The new “Tracked Bars” in the cooldown manager are just too clunky for me.

can anyone explain what a “personal resource display” is?

Man this is such crap. Why do we have to remove features for new features. is it that hard to leave the old options there when the new options are not even similar in presentation. I hope they do something to fix this.

Yup, they bricked one of the best elements in the UI. Say goodbye to easily tracking Ignore Pain, Nether Precision, Shield of the Righteous, etc. Hopefully they roll back the whole fkn thing today and delay CD Manager until its done.

Try this!

Personally, I hated the personal resource display. It was constantly bugging out to the point I trained the ol’ RTS minimap glancing instead.

No offense to anyone who likes it. I got fed up with it breaking.

Fixing something that isn’t broken?

Yup, they removed my icy talons buff and bone shield stacks from the personal resource display and whatever the hell they put in to replace it with the cooldown manager is awful. The buff tracker is tracking BLOOD SHIELD of all things, it’s shocking how bad this change was.

I tried it now and it is working! Thank you very much! Its very similar to the standard Blizzard nameplate and the addon lets you add more buffs and things to the PRD bar. Thanks a lot!

This is a lifesaver, thank you! Funnily enough this is where I was hoping the Blizzard UI overhaul was eventually leading, letting us customize what was on the PRD!

It’s the bar(s) that show up underneath your character when in combat. It shows things like health, mana, holy power, focus, energy, rage, etc. You’ve likely seen it (unless you have an addon that removes it), but just didn’t know the name of it.

Prior to yesterday’s change, it used to also show buffs, which is what people are (rightly) upset about.

Chipping in here. I hope Blizz reverts these changes, massive reduction in quality of life.
Would be nice to make the choice of which buff display we like.

Blizzard’s 5D chess plan to get everyone to use Weak Auras.

choice was the reason people were using weak auras to begin with. if they’ll just give us the choice to use their new clunky system, or the old system with PRD. otherwise people are just going to go back ot creating & using weak auras because of the lack of optional choices
