They were, but thank you for reminding everyone why Blizzard will never update WoW’s housing.
No doubt more effort was put in by the marketing team than the dev team.
Marketing teams at game publishers don’t put in effort. They just shovel money at streamers to do their jobs for them.
I’m sure it cost us actual wow content.
Play SWTOR or ESO and then compare their housing to Garrisons. Please.
Garrisons are base building, not housing. There’s almost NOTHING about them that makes them housing.
You KNOW this but you’re gonna be obtuse about it.
Brewa is a dwarf now!
I have, I’m primarily a builder, I play lots of games where you build things.
WoW’s engine can’t handle anything more than the mister-potato-head “pre-assigned slots with a menu” system.
So I get my building fix in games that are designed for it. Because that will never be WoW.
Cool, glad Blizzard hired you as a dev. Love that you’re somehow an expert on WoW’s engine and what it can and can’t do.
Aw come on. They at least drew three new pictures.
To be fair, I’d be willing to bet that by the time this event ends, more people will have played the Battle Royale than the entire previous raid tier.
I heard WoWs engine can make banana splits come out of my usb ports and they are cold and delicious. Unless you work at Blizzard on the engine you can’t refute this statement. Its all just your opinion!
Blizzard has started designing the raids with mechanics (including Mythic-only mechanics on final bosses) that can just be removed with Stoneform/Fireblood.
Brewa’s been a Dwarf since Mythic Sarkareth.
I had to be the solo tank on the transitions when the rest of the raid was in the shadow realm. So we had two choices:
- Brewa switches to Dwarf, Stoneforms off Destabilize, and we continue the encounter.
- Brewa dies and the boss resets because the other 19 players were in the shadow realm.
It’s stupid, but Blizzard just wants everyone to play Alliance, now. RWF on Fyrakk, all the “Horde” guilds had 15 or 16 Dwarves. M+ leaderboards, where possible, are filled with Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf Dwarf. Plus some Night Elves.
It’s stupid, but with cross-faction, Blizzard can finally just go all-in on their “we’d rather you just not play Horde” thing they’ve always wanted.
They asked Bing’s free AI for them stop playin’.
Anything is possible in tech but I agree with Brewa’s assessment on what kind of limitations appear to exist that are cost-prohibitive to overcome.
Remember, player housing is only worth it if it makes them more money than another project of similar cost/scope. And it won’t, because housing is an expansion level worth of effort from the look of their limitations.
I can’t get over the image of a bunch of people coding their hearts out and ending up with … this.
They’re just fattening up their resumes for when they apply for jobs at Epic.
I quit early that patch cycle so I guess I missed that.
Bummer, no more adventurous Fox Brewa.
Mythic Raiding is a scourge on the game the way Ion designs it.
Better than superbloom or hearthstone event or some other trash can world event. Plunderstorm is good, things like Dragonscale expedition are not.
It’s worse than ever. Less than 700 kills on Mythic Fyrakk and the season’s almost over. That’s even less than Queen Azshara or Kil’jaeden.
Tindral was the worst. There are fewer Tindral kills than there were Cutting Edge kills of Sark or Raz.
And guilds that DO get through Tindral are often so shell-shocked by the trauma that they just break up afterwards, and don’t even have the stomach to do Fyrakk.
Ion has ruined Mythic raiding. It’s just not fun anymore. Even when people get CE, they don’t enjoy it, they’re just relieved that it’s finally over.
Stupid title, then complains about something we’ve been repeatedly told no about.
