Did I make the wrong choice? Is it too late to reroll? Do I stick it out anyway?

5 days is a lot actually

I’m talking about back in Vanilla when it was live, not Classic.

The thing is, it’s really not too late for you to try other classes and find what’s actually fun for you. Back in Vanilla I had already invested a ridiculous amount of tine into my druid when I decided to start trying other classes. She was already 60, professions maxed and I was raiding on her as well with my raiding guild,

When I found myself just loving the warlock I started playing her more and more and really only played my druid to raid. When I got my warlock to 60 I changed her to my main, which my guild was really cool with by the way. I was fortunate to be in a great guild. I continued to help out with my druid in raids until a replacement for me was found. I then started raiding on my warlock with my guild and for the rest of Vanilla and BC, until I quit later in BC.

So no, you didn’t mess up and it’s not too late to actually find what you actually have fun playing. Classic has only been out a little over three months. I didn’t start back in Vanilla until about a year after launch. And while it may feel like you have put a lot of time into your warrior and you don’t want that time to be wasted, why force yourself to play what obviously isn’t fun for you? It’s a game, have fun with it.

What exactly are you solo farming? Bats?
I’m thinking more like solo farming jump runs or mara for gold. Or herbs and ore, but then with wars being the weakest 1v1… I imagine ore and herb farming it tough to do with being ganked for a node?
Are you doing this as dw fury?

The thing that bugs me the most is that I don’t want to rile an alt and wish I had put those 2 days played into my warrior instead?
You know how I’m asking if I made the right choice? I don’t want to make the wrong choice and stop leveling the warrior if this is just a rut. I’m not sure what the real wrong choice is going to be… rolling a warrior or quitting one at level 43?

That being said, it would be nice just to go off on my own and farm on dungeon like DM without needing a healer to split loot or being under constant threat in the open world… big reason I’m a fan of 1v1 god classes… not sure why I thought a warrior would be one… thought FAPs would make me a god I guess lol

As a warrior, sure.

I take it Monkey is a streamer that you like to watch?

Maybe a good question to ask yourself is what you like about it when you watch it?

It’s hard for me to suggest more questions, since I’m not familiar with streamers or your own situation, personality, preferences, etc.

All I can say is, Dig deep! What are your core desires, underneath the desire to play like the monkey guy? Maybe those CAN be found in other characters besides the warrior?

Gl with that if you think you’re gonna get gear for doing one « odd raid »
XD

The warrior grind to 60 is the worst of all classes. However, at 60, when you begin getting epic gear you absolutely destroy other players, and because your damage is physical theres basically no resisting it. Stay around Boyo!

I’ve just always liked warriors, it was my first character I ever made, my first Max level in TBC… and there is something magical about killing classes you shouldn’t be able to kill as a warrior. It shows off your skill as a player a lot more I think… and if the other player is bad… you outplayed him

Leveling just sucks as a warrior right now… so many other classes are more appealing for 40-60 grind. I think warrior woulda been a great choice for a pve server or if I planned to raid a lot… I need a healer friend.

All I mean is i don’t aim to be a core group competitive raider. I’m a dad with an 18 month old… sometimes I’m busy at raid times.

Doesn’t sound like the warrior playstyle is really your cup of tea. Otherwise you’d be enjoying it more by now I would think.

And honestly? It just gets worse at 60. Warriors are HUGELY dependent on their gear - more so than any other class. This means that when you first ding 60 you’re a meal for everyone. You literally won’t be able to kill anyone.

Once you’'re sufficiently geared, then you become quite competitive. Even dominant with a healer. But to get there you have to play a ton. You have to PvE. Do dungeons, grind consumables, raid etc… You can’t just PvP… Unless you’re talking about just sticking with the honor grind which just sounds painful and long to me.

I would re-roll, quite honestly. Mages and locks are great for pvp. Rogues obviously are amazing at it if you want to stick with a melee.

But it does sound like a warrior ain’t your jam.

PvP and gold cap… my biggest concerns

Its all about enjoyment. If you don’t like your char re-roll. I have a friend that leveled a warrior and a priest at the same time just waiting on one to get rested EXP and I am kicking myself since he dinged 60 on both already and I am still 59. Although I have much less time to play, his approach seems to be solid. My alt is only lvl 16 now. But even if you get an alt lvled pretty quick you can always swap back to warrior whenever it has full rested. I think it will work out well for you

Went through the same thing you did, played a warrior because watching Swifty, and He who shall not be named, made me really like them. Got to 40 and realized it’s really not my thing. I’d say you should think about what you really want to do in classic and pick a class that reflects that. Example, I like to run around solo and pick fights with people. So far not feeling the pain of the grind.

You are running around picking fights as a priest? Lol

If you like warrior a little bit but cant stand the grind… Priest is your alter ego. Enjoy

Best dueling class, insane survivability, dosent rely on long cooldowns, so yeah.

You should quit. It only goes downhill from here

Haha funny, priest and hunters are my chosen prey right now on my warrior.

Well that’s not very reassuring, why do you play a warrior if it’s so downhill?

Tbh I just want to discourage people from playing warriors so that there is less competition for my gear

#1 we are diff factions
#2 warriors are the most played class in the game. Good luck lol

I rolled a rogue to level 32 before I cut my losses and made a Hunter. I am currently 54.
