I played a sorc on it and I don’t feel like a mage. You cast two spells, two, and are out of mana. I will admit that I died with a smile on my face when I went into a dungeon and heard FRESH MEAT screamed across the icy halls.
Hey, I like the Diablo saga.
I must be among the people who want its success the most.
Graphically it doesn’t convince me at all.
Even Diablo 3 when it came out at the time already had somewhat outdated graphics.
If mechanically it’s good then I’m going to play it anyway.
But this is coming from a person who thinks Diablo 2 is the best work of the genre and Diablo 3 (bah, everything the expansion brought) is among the worst of the genre.
I still think games like Torchlight, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest and Path of Exile are better executed games than Diablo 3.

This will not always be the case. I already acquired a couple different items/legendaries that are giving mana per cast/per bounce etc. I’m able to cast CL a good number of times now before I’m ooming and arc slashing.
Have a few friends playing it. Their feedback is basically “Eh”. Watched one stream it for a bit… it looks like a Diablo 3 expansion that got lost for 10 years. Slightly better graphics. Slightly different mechanics. No new classes to the Diablo franchises or anything however.
It’s a pass for me, but I’ll keep an eye on it. If it explodes in popularity, may give it a go.

What better way to spend your time between fighting demons than customizing your sweet ride?
That’s definitely a console issue which isn’t surprising since they’re pretty underpowered in comparison. Looks really great on PC.
It looks nothing like D3. The art style is far less cartoonish. It’s definitely more inspired by Diablo 2.
How is Necro? I’m very into summoner builds, and did not like D3 Necro at all.
Can’t play it yet unfortunately. Druid/Necro unavailable during our beta.
We get Sorc/Rogue/Barb to dink with.
I wanted some sweet druid action, but that’ll have to wait.
Damn. I’m hoping that it’s less like Diablo 3 Necromancer and more like Diablo 3 Witch doctor with the helltooth set.

A few comments state the game play is smooth. A few other comments state the game play is clunky. Which is it?
I can’t get into Diablo at all. For some reason the top down view Diablo uses gives me a headache. Same with league of legends, bastion, torchlight etc. Around 30min of playing and I get a migraine.
The UI looked… unrefined?
A thread there complaining about having to hit esc to skip dialogue, comparing it to using a trinket to break cc? And people agreeing with it?

Oof idk about all that but I respect your personal opinion. Blizzard lost a lot of steam and players over the last 5-10 years for horrible design, slow fixes to just ghosting player bases like wc3 reforged, hots and classic wow.
Ow2 and wow df may be an improvement but much of it is too little too late. They had a golden ip with original ow and they botched its direction beyond belief.
I went in twitch last night to see some d4 and I asked myself “where the heck is ow” I had to scroll so far down to find it. Top streamer for ow2 was ~70 viewers.
The game is fubar from the hands of greedy blizzard

Yeah im holding out for path of exile 2. In regards to graphics something about the spell effects seems very lack lust. Though is probably that i prefer poe2 graphic designs over D4.
Also the animations. Somethings a bit off as well.
I was hoping they would be a lot more effects/lighting in the atmosphere.
