I own the trailer and pay rent on the land a year at a time. With what I paid for rent in 2 months covered a YEAR’s rent here. I am not moving back to the city. My mental health is better, I am losing weight, for the first time in my life a lot of the pain I had is going away. No thanks. Keep your high paying jobs in the city. My bank account isn’t going negative despite making less money, I am still increasing my wealth at a higher % over time. With what I paid in groceries, goods, services, rent, there because I made more, I am making more money now than I was there despite the actual amount being considerably less.

There is so much inflation because there are so many record profits being made.
Did you know that unions didn’t always exist or don’t exist yet in some places? And that workers, like their employers, can work together to achieve goals and influence policies in ways that align with their own best interests?
You don’t have to be currently a member of a union to try to change things. You don’t have to be in charge or in a position of power to make a difference. It isn’t a crime.

yes and there is labor laws about what the employer can do and is entitled to do in those situations. That is where your contract change comes in, you accept it then decide you don’t like it you have no recourse.

You don’t have any imagination if you really think there is no recourse.
So you didn’t leave due to the pay, but to other extraneous circumstances. I’m talking strictly from a financial perspective is that you’re not saving ‘thousands’ on a mortgage by moving out into the sticks.
Lets move you to Irvine on a Blizzard salary and have you commute 3 hours per day, 3 days per week in gridlock to the office and see how you like it.
Having an ignorant stance doesn’t change the fact that Blizzard has already lost and will continue to lose many WoW developers because of this and then the game will start to lose features and release patches slower. Maybe then you’ll complain and wonder how this could be??

I agree! I moved from a big city to a small town. Lower cost of living, cheaper mortgage, lower food costs, lower everything costs in general! Hell I saved $1600 a year just on auto insurance.
It’s a huge life change but as I said before, there’s some good and some bad. Overall, it’s been SO much better! I endorse, get out of the big cities and move to the country.

you are if you don’t owe millions of dollars on a mortgage. If the home in pittsburgh is worth 1 million dollars and I am making 450k a year there and I make 190k here but I own the $30,000 trailer out right then I saved a TON of money on just that ALONE. Sorry your lies no longer work and you lost control of the narrative.

hahaha - as a boomer I have a lot lot more experience in this area than you probably. You think the labor market is going to let you mess around you might find out the labor market can change on a dime and you will have burnt your bridges next layoff.
Is it even unusual for you to be confused?
Probably the only area you have more experience than me in is pulling up the ladder behind you.
