Beta needs to hurry up and get here.
These few posts they’ve made have really killed off any type of excitement I had for Wrath.

No not really, it wont be releveant, it will drop the previous teir’s badges which if I’m raiding I will already be drowning in, and as for getting the two bonus badges, thats far less useful now with both 10 and 25 sharing the same badges, I’ll get plenty anyway from just raids.
If you don’t enjoy heroics doing RDF you aren’t going to enjoy them in any other form. Blizzard would have to essentially make entirely new dungeons for you to enjoy them.
What I read is they plan on adding more HP to things which doesn’t make it more difficult only more time consuming.
This is awesome! I’ve really liked all the communication we’ve had lately.
I pretty much agree with everything Blizz has done so far. Naxx in WotlK was WAY too easy. If Blizz doesn’t buff it, then there is no way it will be able to hold raiders’ attention for a couple months before Ulduar. Even in original wrath, Naxx was cleared first week. Prior to hearing this change, I was really worried that people would get bored with how easy Naxx was and just quit. It would have been far worse than the drought many of us saw in Phase 1 with just Kara/Gruul/Mag available.
Also agree with increasing Heroic dungeon difficulty. The wrath dungeons were a complete joke in original wrath that you could pretty much do in your sleep. Increase the difficulty and the rewards. It’s the only way to keep these dungeons relevant.
I think these goals/values align with what classic players are looking for in this game. I’ve noticed that many opponents to the removal of dungeon finder are primarily retail players. Well, retail players are not the intended audience in classic. If you want all the modern day conveniences, then go back to retail. That’s not what classic is about. It’s such a dangerous slippery slope when we start going down that path.
Heck, dungeon finder wasn’t even part of original Wrath on release. I think it was like 8 or 9 months later. So it’s puzzling seeing some people whining about it not being implemented at the very start when that’s not even how original Wrath was. Goes to show that this crowd is not actually interested in a truly “no changes” experience either.
Blizz, I hope you don’t get discouraged by some of the hateful comments that you are sure to see in this thread. They are a vocal minority.
So… Mythic+
nah when I geared up my paladin for stratholme farming, I went with my guildies also, because again unlike a random pug we all know how to play the game, I really have no interest in dealing with the average pug unless I’m being paid. Now I will happily tank a pug heroic, if you want to pay me 50g at the start of the run, and if we wipe more than 3x be aware im hearthing out.
I dunno about the Naxx changes, after Sunwell I was looking forward to a nice chill face-roll first tier prior to Ulduar, get all the toons geared up. Was expecting it to be kind of a pugging golden age for raids in T7 across many alts.
Should be fine though, but some returning players that started in Wrath might be turned off by this.
As an aside isn’t it weird to think we will have original “wrath babies” all over again?
I like classic because it lets me re-experience the content at the time with the appropriate talent trees and abilities. I’d welcome more QoL features. I would have been okay with dual spec in classic/TBC. I would have been okay with mounts/pets/toy boxes instead of taking inventory spots.
I like the content of the game while raiding, and you cannot just make a level 20 (or whatever) on retail with a bunch of friends and go have an appropriately tuned fight of the older content.
Classic to me is seeing the old content tuned properly again. Not a faithful, one-to-one recreation of it.
blizzard reminder to put LFD back in
no one wants the lfd interface from retail
ppl will continue selling runs and spam random stuff via the retail lfd interface
we’re creating a problem here. just leave it how it was please
I have zero interest in a pseduo mythic+ being shoved into my Wrath.
No thank you.
but before this change, heroics would still drop the tier below naxx tokens until ToC. This is just making heroics drop naxx tier emblems when ulduar comes out. Seems appropriate.
but its still not an incentive to do them, I’ll already be drowning in those badges anyway, whats the point of doing them. Emblems of Valor might as well be herosim, same as conquest or triumph when the next raid tear comes out, because they have no value to someone already swimming in them.
Honestly, did everyone at blizzard forget that 6 million people left in cataclysm because of the hard to be hard dungeons? Why oh WHY would you even think about upping the difficulty to wrath dungeons.
They have learned nothing. Absolutely nothing.
It just feels of an unnecessary change to justify the removal of the rewards built into the random dungeon finder.
The extra badges from queueing one each day was a reason to go back, and it helped to get lower geared people mixed in with those that largely knew what they were doing, and everyone won.
Making heroics only have a reason to go back if you do added challenges just makes it so that groups have more reason to exclude people from them for various reasons.
Rather than getting Wrath of the Lich King, we are getting a reimagining of the expansion that few wanted.
everyone be “no changes”
then someone explains that if it were actually no changes there would still be no LFD until ICC and they go
yeah well the release is based on last patch so changes good
Right?
I remember a resounding sigh of relief back when they made it so we didn’t have to run the place 4 times a week anymore.
good point if the heroics get harder, raiders still wont want to run them, but now your freash lvl 80 in blues wont be invited to run them either
We heard you Classic peeps like dungeons, so we’re adding Mythic + to Wrath Classic.
Next, we are going to make you farm peaceblooms for class specific legendaries.
Oh oh oh, and we’re going to have artifact weapons too!

Incorrect. All the people that learned something either quit or were fired, and now a good game is saddled with FRESH devs who are making all the same mistakes all over again, with slightly different variations on a theme:
“The hardest thing a creator can do is to know when to leave something the hell alone.”
