I’d literally have exactly what I want if blizzard stopped mucking with the game.
I have a close knit guild that is similar to the guild I had in wrath, the names might be different people might be a little different and everyone might be older, but I’d be going into wrath with… roughly the same experience.
The changes being made to the game are unnessessary.

Doesn’t mean we should have to agree with all of the changes that never existed before, regardless of if theyre here to stay or not. That’s why this thread has comments enabled.

Why is Wrath of the Lich King, one of the most beloved expansions of the entire WoW history the first time that the developers feel the need to change everything?
Crappy things in classic? No changes!
Crappy parts of TBC? Largely no changes!
Everything in Wrath? Change it on a whim!
Buffing Naxx? Why? It’s fine for an entry level raid to be easy.
Removing RDF? What a terrible idea, and your retail group finder tool isn’t a substitute for it just because you have new made up design pillars that didn’t exist back then.
It’s almost like you completely missed the point of how rereleases are supposed to work. People don’t want a small group of people’s reimagining of Wrath of the Lich King…
They just wanted Wrath of the Lich King.

Agree. Still think this is how it plays out. They can tell the anti-LFD nutjobs “we’re doing our best to keep the scrubs out of your groups” and still deliver an historically accurate timeline for LFD release and claim “classic…just like you remembered”. And whereas I’d just as soon have it at release, I look forward to queuing up for them heroics!
And if not, there’s other stuff to spend my money on. I can get 80 on my 2 toons and leave with an overall good feeling of my experience. Still time well spent.

Yes. Might as well play dragonflight if this is the case.

Imagine literally having a license to print money and feeling you have to screw with it.

Right, because who wants to feel more powerful as you gear up in an rpg? That’s just silly.

That or a psuedo mythic+ style change, because this blizzard we’re talking about, their already adding one retail feature into the game, whats a few more for their Wrath Reforged?

no you didn’t, i was there, yes we ran the daily heroic, among ourselves, we didn’t bring in a random pug, we ran it among ourselves with the raiders, kind of like how we did everything else, the random person trying to gear up didn’t get a geared tank, or geared dps, it simply didn’t exist, it will be the same once again. Heck right now I only do H MgT or the daily heroic with my guild, because I don’t want to deal with pugs and there is zero incentive to deal with them.

I pugged all my daily heroics /shrug.
Don’t put your personal experience as the whole of the player base.
I always saw geared people in dungeons.

and that’s fine, but everyone’s argument for why a change shouldn’t be attempted is because “that’s not how it was in the original”.

your in the minority, there is no reason to want to do a heroic with someone who can’t pump, RDF made it worthwhile to do so, but now nah, if your not a pumper you can sit in dalarn drowning in your tears for all i care, and thats how most will feel about it.

And? Classic uses builds from the later part of the expansions anyway.
Nice strawman.
You’re projecting.
By that point you could basically solo the dungeon as a prot pally tank, bringing others was just fluff.
I constantly get geared raiders in my heroics NOW.

“When my geared buddies and I do group content, we don’t bring pugs. When I’m on my alt though, I expect to be paired with geared players”
That’s an honest take

Well, did you read the post? They plan on adding challenges and better rewards from it as tiers progresses.
Isn’t this what you want? A reason to go back?

But isn’t that the entire point of having a classic version of the game to begin with…? To relive that version of the game. Making changes, means it’s no longer that version of the game. I’m talking about game files. Not experience. Lol. Making changes is all well and fine, but if you shake the tree enough, too many changes the game just becomes reforged. Pretty simple
