Will we see Emblems of Valor convert to Emblems of Heroism at each new phase?
I think Bloom has a humiliation fetish. No one would still post on that same character after how many times he’s been humiliated out of a thread (hey arena forums).
One day I wanna go to the arena forums and just type his name and then sit back and watch the show
Waiting for the day you guys realize LFD didn’t ruin socializing in WoW, the online culture change/shift did.
If WoW never, ever implemented LFD you would see the exact same thing you do now. People will socialize if they want to or people will not socialize and you can’t force that.
When I play classic vs retail the difference in socializing in groups is exactly. the. same.
“The first and most important design pillar is: Nurture and Protect Social Experiences.”
If you are doing this and single out PvE in the process, then this is just straight up a DOA bold face lie that falls flat on its face.
If you are saying that pve groups must be manually formed to “nurture” some social nonsense, then why are there cross realm BGs? Why can I queue for random BGs? Why are BGs cross realm enabled? Why are there faction v faction BGs?
Why does there have to be enormous friction to putting together PvE groups, but all the random PvP you could ever want with 20-80 other nameless nobodies you’ll never see again can be had, and its all just one click away?
This is insane. Your reasoning and justifications are insane. They are hollow, meaningless, and empty. Utterly worthless. You are artificially increasing friction EXCLUSIVELY in PvE for literally no good reason.
You know the end result of not having LFD in TBC is for me? I don’t run dungeons, thats it, end of story. I mindless queue pvp, over and over and over until I get tired of it and log. If you think that increasing PvE friction and reducing engagement is in the best interest of the game, you do you. Go ahead and keep making idiotic decisions, no one can stop you.
Just keep in mind while you are making those idiotic decisions your players are telling you to stop. But it seems all that does is make you want to double down on those decisions for some reason.
Room temp IQ decisions being made re: wotlk classic.
39 hearts and 748 replies. This nonsense is literally being ratio’d right in front of your own eyes. Take the hint, stop being dense.
If WoW never introduced LFD, it probably would be in even worse shape.
This is the question I came to ask.
Pooling emblems will trivialize quite a bit of content.
warmane cutting my gold in half constantly with an insane mod team, blizz doing whatever this is, i just wanna press 2 and r on things for gods sake!
just leave the thing alone, even the stuff that you could argue made these older games “bad” is still what made them. being a time capsule should be the point. some of us have never played these when they were out and just want to experience the game without having to deal with private server bs.
people shouldnt have to even pay attention to these kind of forum posts, its a part of what makes blizzard so miserable to interact with.
Some of us played the game when it was out and really like it, IMO everything the current Dev’s touch turns to garbage, I subbed just to play Old WOW and was let down big time, *disappointed but can’t say surprised… I have till Mid July while I can still post but playing or leveling up any thing on BC for LK is just pointless now.
(hay blizz if you’re listening release a stand alone single player version of the old wow expansions maybe populate with some crap Bot’s *gold farmers can do it hopefully you can muster some programmers that are at least half that good to fill up the single player world. no it won’t be the same by a long shot, but it’d still be better than this stupid stuff you’re putting out now, and you could charge say 100$ for each single player expansion world seeing it’s not just the client but you’re own local server version of it running) come on, be a bit greedy at least for once that helps the people that want at least some taste of the old game.)
*if blizzard was a art restoration business they’d put pig tails on the Mona Lisa and tell us how much better it is now…
Please make true classic servers if you’re going to do this lunacy. This should be done on a season of mastery type server.
whoever came up with those decisions needs to be removed from the position or be fired(better option to set an example)
How would dungeon finder, brought in during the original WOTLK, cause you to dislike the game? You have the choice to not use it. That is what is so amazing to this entire debate. Your answer is “go to retail”. You and I both know there are far more issues with retail than DF. The combined cluster that is retail is why I came to classic. Having DF does not impact YOUR game experience if you chose not to use it. The only thing that I missed from the original WOTLK was DF. I love every other aspect of Classic. When they announce WOTLK was coming I thought now the game will reach the perfection it had during WOTLK. I know DF started midway through the XPAC and I have no issue with that. But now the developers are going to monkey with XP when paying for a boost (or getting a guild boost). While I applaud an attempt to slow down in game boosting, dungeon finder does that by itself. It benefits low pop servers and casual gamers, all while making paid boost less appealing.
Some grocery store in California could get a package deal of Birmingham and Longdale.
Can just imagine Birmingham as a clerk. Customer puts their groceries down, as hes pricing them hes like “you cookin”. Customer stares at him with no answer and after the customer leaves Brian is just amazed at how well the interaction went.
The more you change Wrath from the original, the less likely I will spend any time playing it. We don’t mind you fixing bugs and whatnot, but you’ve planned wholesale changes that a MAJORITY of your player base has told you “No”. Once again, you’re showing that you don’t listen, and just want to make your own experimental version of the game. At least split it so those of us who want the original Wrath, can get it. And those of you who don’t, do the “fresh start” one.
That’s actually a really solid way to combat inflation. Blizzard should steal that idea.
Not good.
I don’t like the idea of Blizzard playing with itemization. I find no enjoyment in retails itemization nor do i find Mythic plus a good thing for the game. End game loot should be aquired from raids or high level arena, no where else. Also the removal of boosting doesnt seem needed. Most of the RMT comes from GDKPs. You won’t find 300k gold being traded in a dungeon boost. Though I agree that dungeons should be natural with player leveling and promoted before boosting but that can be done in other ways besides removing the option to boost all together.
if you did it to the richest people maybe, but becoming broke if you havent played in a while or just needing to re do have your savings for the more expensive riding or w/e is stupid as hell. it just turns into buying crap off the market board in hopes you can re sell it and get back what you lost, or even end up with a profit, and its just pointlessly stressful. if you arnt already established when it hits your character just gets beaned for no reason
There are actually people telling us to “go play Retail” because we want an authentic system from Wotlk not to be replaced by an actual system from Retail. It’s unreal. And Classic Devs are those people as well.
That’s how you know none of these changes are about ‘the spirit of Classic’ or preserving the game as it was, because they’re doing the exact opposite. Shoving Retail systems and design philosophy into a 14 year old game. I don’t think most players want that from a Classic server. They simply want to play the game as it was.
