Developer Update: A Look at What’s Ahead for Wrath of the Lich King Classic

dunno about you but i read a whole lot of vaguely worded statements with that announcement with very few details. also a lot of flowerly word salad thrown in their too.
also the article seems to repeat itself A LOT. it reads like something a freshmen highschooler would write.
i could literally spend all DAY picking apart how POORLY WRITTEN this article is in terms of sentence structure. so many times the articles states it’s going to do one thing then doesn’t follow up on that. i.e. “here we’re going to provide a concerete example of how we are applying item changes to wotlk” then proceeds to not provide any examples of such and just list a bullet points memo of the entire article. :pensive:

I agree that it is a long shot for Wotlk, but imo the sooner the better for the implementation of flex raiding. If they can figure out a way to add it to Wrath Classic then I would be over the moon, but if it is indeed an impossibility then Cata would be the next best time to implement it. It can be such an important feature for the health and longevity of guilds.

Happy to see you resubbed and came back to posting to the forums. Hope you will enjoy Wrath!

show me where I said I was gone (you still can’t read can you lol) last I said my sub was up in mid July and I just said took the reoccurring off last night in another post)

You have anything else to say to make you look even more foolish

Don’t worry once I’m gone I still pop in the forms to watch you make yourself look stupid (free entertainment)

I’m not sure what you’re trying to communicate here. Can you review the sentence and fix the grammatical and syntaxial errors?

That’s good – I’m sure Blizzard will appreciate that $15 a month.

lol you still can’t read, i said Free, I still can read you being dumb on the fourms with no sub…

You’re correct, I do struggle to read your posts due to the grammatical and syntaxial errors. Can you try revising and editing them?

You’re going to visit video games forums for a video game you aren’t subscribed to just to read my posts? I’m flattered.

well you post so outrageous stupid stuff it wold be a shame to miss.

Alright, I’m happy I’ve had such an effect on you.

clowns are fun to watch

why are you still feeding him?

he’s amusing in a sad kinda way

Right, I’ll enjoy the free rent. Take care.

you share a room with bozo just fyi

That’s fine, plenty of empty space for the both of us. Definitely going to have enough room for my Classic Wrath setup.

someone with your reading/chart/patch date issues probably should not talk about empty space in ones head…

So you think that games are good based off the sales they generated? by your logic Shadowlands is a good expansion? right? when reviews of Shadowlands say the opposite?

Those “Blizzard haters” do have a point though, the game is riddled with so much Pay to Win, super predatory practices and the fact the game is so designed around with you paying money and more money in mind, no bad luck protection or anything to help with free to play players at all.

If you try to debunk that Diablo immortal is not predatory than I will give you an example, a twitch streamer by the name of Quin69 spent $25K to get one 5 star gem, which getting a 5 star gem is not possible being a Free to play player.

Before I post, I reflect on what I was gonna say and try to reiterate on before I post which I assume a lot of people do when giving a developer some feedback, however when you say this…

While true that they are listening, I have been around the Shadowlands beta and I have seen feedback get disregarded and then suddenly something goes wrong in their face and somehow act on the feedback after being told something is bad a year ago.

Like my feedback for Wrath classic right now is that they are changing some things that works fine and doesn’t need fixing hence the term “If it aint broke, don’t fix”.

I think people fail to realize just how much of an impact a system like the dungeon finder has on the game. Without a system like this existing the players are at the mercy of Blizzard transferring entire realms of players to a new one or combining multiple ones together, which is what DF already does without taking you off your actual server. There are far too many issues with, faction imbalance, population imbalance, and for low pop realms even class imbalance. This was clearly already an issue during TBCC when they were having to talk about having same faction PvP for those realms that were way lopsided either horde or alliance cross realm capabilities solves this. Adding same faction pvp solves one issue, but on a horde dominated server where they can’t find pvp matches what do you think the pve side of things looks like for the alliance of that realm. A big portion of my level 70 experience during TBCC revolved around watching the stupid LFG chat box, which is taking my concentration away from I dunno… ACTUALLY playing the game. Dungeon finder is so much more than just a quality of life feature, it literally serves as a lifeline to some realms to be able to play the game. They don’t want to ruin the “social” aspect of the game but Blizzard doesn’t even control that aspect of the game unless they remove the ability to chat with each other completely. Logged into my TBCC server yesterday for the first time in months, no one in my guild has been on in a year or more and there were 7 yes that’s right 7 people online for the alliance. I don’t know what the horde side looked like but I probably spent 5 hours farming mobs just messing around wasting time, I saw 1 other player the entire time and it was one of the 6 other alliance that was on. Searched the AH just for the hell of it, nothing… literally nothing. Can’t wait for Wrath to not have dungeon finder so I can waste my time staring at a chat or just not even do the content if / when the population dies off. At least those players that will be left can still aimlessly grind mobs

By the way I’m still waiting for you to link the post where I said I was gone already and I would have had to resub to be able to post here  right now.

I’m completely done with WotLK.
I’d patiently waited through Classic and BC, which I just tested out a bit for nostalgic reasons. Patiently waited for WotLK, the expansion I’ve loved so much and wanted to experience it just how it was.

With all these changes, of which some are quite drastic, I’ve lost all interest. I’m just shaking my head in disbelief how all of this could go so wrong. They just had to leave WotLK, the most successful expansion, alone but yet they’ve decided to turn it into their own experimental playground to bring their personal visions to light. Thanks for ruining all my hopes for this.
