Common misconception, if they worked on the original WotLK, they’re proving we don’t want them on Classic. All they had to do was copy the most critically acclaimed expansion to date during the height of WoW’s popularity, WotLK to the classic servers and then bugfix. No changes.
Did they confirm how much it’s getting buffed? On a PServer I played the buffs were large enough to warrant needing a frost set for Sapph, that level of buffing is a gold sink I’d rather not force my buddies to do
The random dungeon finder did a better job about it as you could run it multiple times with friends if you wanted to, rather than “oops, already did the heroic today,” and it did a better job about getting people into dungeon groups that were still gearing up from various dungeons.
The RDF is also better when playing during slow times in the server, or when playing on a server with low populations.
Removing the RDF was a bad move.
You’re also planning to nerf dungeon carries, but at the same time putting in an XP boost. Do you want people to level faster or slower? Pick 1 and stick with it.
It’s not about the speed of leveling, it’s about how people are leveling. being afk in a dungeon paying for boosts is not good for the game, leveling naturally is. Please use your brain.
yeah, but he could stick to black temple now which is so easy it could be done with 15 people…but he blames not having 6 shaman for not being able to clear sunwell.
I don’t think we’ll be running into this issue, as blizzard has effectively removed any and all reasons to run heroics after the first 2 weeks of WOTLK.
Fixed that for you.
Not true at all don’t put words in my mouth or speak for me. I enjoy heroics the way they are now, and will not enjoy it with a bunch of disposable random from other servers who will treat eachother with toxicity.
Can we get a nice long beta period with these changes in place? I’m not completely opposed to tuning adjustments to various content but I have one major concern. I worry that in an effort to make the content more challenging the side effect will be the loss of bring the player not the class that was relatively successful in wrath.
For example, the DK is arguably the best tank for magic damage heavy bosses due to their kit. However, it’s a bonus to have a DK tank on these bosses as they were but not a requirement with all tanks being able to complete that content. If the numbers are tuned too high, it becomes a liability to attempt that boss unless you have a DK tank. This causes a downstream effect of other tanks no longer having a spot.
The same could be said about dungeon content. If the approach of increasing difficulty includes the need to continuously CC more than 1 mob in each group, those classes without easy to use or repeatable CC will find it much more difficult to get groups. This leads us back to a time that I don’t think was healthy for the game.
They haven’t said anything concrete yet, but assuming you will need a frost res set for sapph you probably wouldn’t need more than 1-2 items and crafting them is pretty affordable and easy.
Plus you’ll want a few pieces for Hodir just in case.
Hopefully beta actually matters, they had beta’s for both BfA and Shadowlands. Listened to no one in those.
LOL, it certainly helps but after healing some guild’s progression attempts I don’t think there’s any level of warlocks that would help them get the M’uru kill
Some people are just bad at this game, one button rotation or not
Regarding the changes to loot, it would be nice if 10 man heroic/hard modes dropped the fragments for the legendaries the same way that 25 man normal drops them with just a lower drop chance. The ilvl of gear between 10H and 25N is identical so it doesn’t really make sense for the 10 man hard content to not drop the fragments when 10H fights are harder than 25N. The loot in general shouldn’t be the same between 10 and 25H but just sticking the legendary availability in would be nice for 10 man guilds
How to make easy money 101: Launch WotLK as it was and don’t touch anything else. That means including LFG and everything else as it was during WotLK.
You’re welcome.
The pillars are also hilarious because they are wholly made up for this Dev team’s vision of how to remake Wrath in their own image.
The thing is. With the quest giver it was one specific heroic that day. With the RDF it was any given dungeon. Allowing a player who wanted a specific heroic to get into it. Then after they were locked potentially random into it… because of people still doing daily heroics.
Ultimately it doesn’t matter RDF was the better form… because if at any point that daily heroic says Oculus you aren’t doing it.
By the logic of that quote. We should all be in a single realm. Also this is just an excuse. To force us to use a system we wouldn’t otherwise use… BECAUSE IT IS A BAD SYSTEM. If it was a good system we would use it.
Blizzard doesn’t make things harder they increase health and damage until it one-shots you if you make a mistake. You should be nervous.
I didn’t specifically mean /you/ but go ahead and try to dance around the point. That point being… If you are player who doesn’t like running heroics. You aren’t going to enjoy running heroics in any form.
Your issue with random “toxicity” (which makes it sounds like you are the issue) is easily by forming own groups with the guildies and friend you currently do. To not have to deal with he random “toxicity” that currently exists on large serves like Benediction, Whitemane, and Faerlina.
At this pace I’m surprised they haven’t found a way to work in the aerial combat they promised us on the WOTLK box. Might as well cause this is turning into a wrath nobody asked for really fast.
Dear Blizzard, in the spirit of Nurturing Social Experiences, please make it possible to queue Arenas with people from different servers (within the same battle group region) if they are actual BNet friends with you. This could even be extended to allow cross server dungeons or raids. Choosing your server was a one way door decision back in Vanilla, but should not longer be a limitation to playing with IRL friends who may have chosen differently. Thanks
The pillars are their usual hypocrisy. They talk about quests and the importance of the world and then let you pay them to skip all that to level 70.
I for once am very intrigued to hear how blizz keeps grouping and instances a key component of the game. Hopefully this new dungeon system makes forming groups easier and less time consuming. Also love how they mention tiering the badge system in a way that makes running dungeons and raids relevant across the whole expansion
Excited to see what happens next!
