LET ME GO HOME. I am a long standing client of classic. Literally started on release day for classic waiting in 16 hour ques.

My friend could not play during WOTLK ques so we went to this server. Long story short we want TO PAY TO GO BACK HOME AND PLAY WITH OUR FRIENDS ON FAERLINA.

The casual playerbase on this server is ruining our fun and I do not think we should be penalized for fixing your server population mistakes.

If anything you should have locked mega servers before WOTLK and made the players who all flooded the game to play on casual servers considering they all quit. I would say give us maybe 4 more weeks on this server and we will quit, thats a total of 5 subs of longterm classic supporters.

The ball is in your court since you have the ability to make new toons on FAERLINA but we cannot xfer back. We are literally offering you money, if you are the money hungry corp that you claim to be than you should not be turning down money and upsetting long standing clients.

ESPECIALLY SINCE WOTLK IS LOSING PEOPLE AT A FAST FAST RATE. So why not make your long term clients happy?

Regarding your request, I understand that you would like to transfer your existing character to play with your friends on Faerlina, but at the moment transfers to some Classic realms have been restricted indeed, to address some overpopulation issues :confused:

These restrictions can’t be bypassed, not even with our assistance, so I’m afraid you would need to wait for these services to be reinstated. In the meanwhile, I suggest you keep an eye on our official forums to find more information and updates about this.

Hi,

This answer makes no sense because I can just create characters on that realm and technically start playing and leveling. This essentially makes over population issues from a transfer perspective make no sense.

Also it shows you have no faith or system in place like “retentions” for long standing customers to make sure you don’t lose their business. Playing on this server for more than another month will cause me and my friends to quit and this lack of customer service is going to make sure we never support any Blizzard games again.

I want an explanation stating why I can create a new character as you could not always do this until recently but I cannot give you more business…

This is Game Master “name”, I wanted to take some time and write to you and let you know I truly appreciate your patience in these times, and I am very sorry for the wait.

In the words of my people, Bal’a dash, malanore.

I can absolutely see why this would be frustrating, and if I were in your position I would be asking the same question.

Basically Customer Service didnt make this restriction, so we are not privy as to why the development team has made this decision.

And with that being said, I am very sorry but right now there isn’t a way to get a character onto a realm locked down by the dev team for that specific character type ( transfer or created directly on realm) but that doesn’t mean we cant get something like this changed!

Change is what keeps the wheels moving, and sometimes the mark is missed so change needs to occur, it’s always for the best.

Posting on the forums and gaining momentum on this is a way other players can lend their voice and show our Development team a change like this is truly needed. I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear today, but I still wanted to make sure you had all the available information on this.

Thanks very much for the human approach and great answers. Unfortunately I do not see the forums as a valuable use of time due to the fact I see like 5-10 current threads of others asking to ban the bots and merge all the humans onto real realms together.

The other factor is that the forums are not policed by any means so the second that you post anything you get the forum trolls who are not banned when mass reported just clowning people and starting arguments. If there was a direct email to way to ticket the development team I would be interested in contacting them that way.

At the end of the day I have decided to just quit at the end of March. Try and get as many HM kills as I can on this server with people who do not even know how lockouts work (they always try to join multiple raids for certain bosses like in retail).

One thing to consider is that games like DOTA 2 , even wow classic arena matches you with players of a similar rating of skill. Meanwhile they allow people to group cross realm to pvp but I cannot cross realm que to raid with others even though raids and BG are both instances. So again none of this makes any sense.

Thanks very much for trying to help but I have no choice but to quit and to encourage all others who feel the same to also quit. We pay for multiple accounts and this is a total waste our time and money considering this expansion was “the way to play with your friends”. Meanwhile it has been everything but that.

My name is “name” a Supervisor with Blizzard Entertainment Customer Service. I understand that you were looking to return to Faerlina.

I have reviewed all of your tickets submitted regarding this matter and the responses they have received. The previous Game Masters were correct. This is not something that Customer Service is going to be able to do. I understand that you do not feel that the forums are not valuable in getting your ideas over to the developers of the game but they are and are the only place to do so.

The restrictions placed on realms is a tool that they use to help even out realm population and can only be lifted or adjusted by them. The forums would be the best place to convey to them that you would like to see Faerlina opened back up to accept character transfers.

As this has been looked into several times and the resolution has not changed we do now consider this issue to be resolved.

"Development teams do not care about the players and our experience. There is a reason the forums are flooded with posts of the same issue over and over with no Blizzard reps responding.

If the forums are the only way to relay information to the people making decisions we are all doomed. I will be quitting at the end of March and I will encourage as many people as I can to quit as well until you guys get the point that without clients you have no business."

Your best bet is to post this in the customer support forums. This is for in game discussion, Blizzard doesn’t read THESE forums. You should make your post in Customer Support, which is where Blizzard is more likely to see this.

Thanks for the info, I have now posted in both places. With it here maybe we can get as many to complain like the ret paladins did and maybe they will listen.

If not I am quitting this game and telling everyone I know that plays they should do the same as this trash company is destined to kill wow forever…

While I see no issue with trying, people have been complaining about the exact same thing for months now. You have an absolute sea of people in the same sort of situation who have been attempting to reach out to Blizzard as well in hopes of them opening transfers to the transfer restricted servers. It seems Blizzard is ultimately ignoring the situation, likely because they have no way to satisfy the people.

I’m not sure how often you’re on the forums but I can assure you, this issue has been discussed through and through by the community, and hundreds of people have made similar posts in hopes of seeing a change. The best we’ve gotten is gotten character creation opened up on all realms, but many are still locked to transfers.

However if I might, I might be able to provide you some potencial logic as to WHY you can create a character but not transfer. I see you asked Customer Support, and they didn’t have a logical reasoning. However, I believe I do have one, it’s up to you if you’d like to believe it or not:

There’s considerably less people interested in starting over fresh at level 1 in order to play on a locked server, as oppose to transferring. This I believe has been proven by the amount of posts still being made asking for transfer restrictions to be lifted. Blizzard knows many more people will transfer than they will start over. No one wants to lose their progress. They’d rather just pay to transfer their characters.

I personally believe if they opened transfers again to these servers, people will transfer in droves, which will significantly negatively impact the overall population issue for these realms. However, the small portion of people that are willing to start over is a drop in the bucket. There’s a big difference between 500 people willing to start fresh across 5 different servers VS. 30,000 transfers. The amount of people that will transfer if given the option is a number that the locked realms can not accommodate. The locked realms are simply still too big. Allowing 300 people willing to roll a level 1on Faerilina doesn’t really hurt the population, but allowing 6,000 people to transfer to Faerilina does.

I appreciate you response and suggestions but at the end of the day customer support told me to do this so I did.

If they want to do anything after they can if not I will leave this here to make sure they look like the clowns that they are.

Blizzard doesn’t read this forum except for an unpaid intern every couple of weeks.

I mean they could offer cross realm raiding just like they offered cross realm bgs and arena…so they just are lazy and don’t care.

Well, that was an interesting read so thanks for that. Yes, Blizzard direct people here and they often get trolled. Yes, the Customer Support forum crosspost was a great idea. I’ve done the job of customer support and “supervisor” in the past for other companies and their hands are probably as tied as they said.

You probably shouldn’t have moved off of Faerlina if you wanted the try-hard, self-focused environment (even if the personality quality of some of these players is at the very bottom of the barrel). Faerlina was always going to be the place to get that for horde in Wrath. Maybe Blizzard will open the transfers in a few months. Who knows.

No one will do anything. You’ll get the same useless generic responses each time, some dumping you off to the forum they don’t even read. I don’t blame people for abandoning ship. While I’m committed to playing out wrath, I won’t be sticking around after it. Assuming they rehost cataclysm (probably not happening), I’ll only play it for 1 month, just long enough to enjoy the old world changes on a new character, then I’m out. Cataclysm will practically be DOA as everyone unsubs after 1 month.
