What you described is DAMAGE, where are the gameplay implications? Nowhere, exactly.
Also, if they wanted to add sustain aoe, which they should have, a better choice would have been trail or ruin, the only reedeeming quality is priority damage, but aside that, i don’t see the hype. It’s a boring talent just like amn.
It’s not only damage, it’s also profile, which is extremely important.
Are you forgetting the fact that Havoc keeps all the prio damage it already has, while gaining free cleave and a little bit of extra prio with exactly 0 cost?
Did i stutter? Profile is still just damage at the end of the day.
Sure im not saying it’s worse than before as long as they fix mastery scaling, but it’s way overhyped if they don’t make it interact with anything. It’s not an interesting talent at the end of the day, although it could be. But they specifically stated they don’t want to do it. So whatever dh devs, suit yourself…
Doesn’t interact with reaver because they rather keep aldrachi bad gameplay instead of taking the required steps to make it work properly with this new talent, cycle was changed, and they could have made the glaive interact with cycle/sd, but they didn’t so… Ultimately all that remains is a throw glaive with no interactions, wohoo, thanks blizzard. Very interesting.
Im just not impressed by such low effort attempts.
No, lmao. That’s an extremely general definition to something that’s so extremely important.
If they make the talent proc Reaver’s Glaive, you’d basically have to hold Blade Dance until you were ready to use the combo, which would make preparing for a DPS window extremely annoying.
That the talent doesn’t work with RG it’s a good thing.
Also, it interacts with literally all glaive talents. Makes BW spreading a non-issue, and also SG, so target swapping is not as painful.
I don’t know, you might be the only person on Earth that didn’t like that tier set, lol.
will you be holding chaos strike for those 10 hasted seconds? if not, you will be running out the timer on Sinful Bra- I mean Reaver’s Mark, have fewer blade dances in it, and it will always be 7% instead of 14%.
Blade Dance? No, I definitely wouldn’t hold Blade Dance, lol.
RG is definitely not a 10 second hasted CD. In case you are not aware they reworked the talent that give us a lot of souls so, pending further changes, it’s not like you can spam RG anyway.
Regardless. There are situations in which I want to press Blade Dance and I don’t want to press RG.
Point 2: By having the tier set proc RG you would basically be ALWAYS forced to do the Chaos Strike → Blade Dance combo or to AFK for the entire Blade Dance CD.
PS: These scenarios happen constantly. It’s not my fault you’re unable to recognize them.
Not really, i think that good arguments should be able to stand on their own regardless of the player skills of the one making them.
Which is why i very rarely use skill as an actual argument to make a counterpoint, because it’s frankly a fallacy 90% of the time. It’s a way to shut down a discussion rather than actually arguing about the merits of a point.
this was explained to him multiple times, he doesnt get it cuase its not super rng to make the spec “interactive”
this place is the vocal minority, im sorry the dev doesnt want to interact in a barely moderated space that often tells devs they should lose their lively hoods and their lives cause the spec wasnt buffed enough to hide terrible play
dont bring logic here, it breaks the “the discord is bad and evil” narrative
told you, this goober was explained multiple times why mutliple things across multiple specs is good but he doesnt listen to anyone cause its not his “brand” of what he “likes” dont bother
Sorry if you were looking for an argument, you’re gonna have to find someone else, if you want me to engage in a conversation you better have the mental capacity of at least a toddler.
What I suggested would fix a lot of how bad aldrachi feels, and it would make the new talent have some actual interactions, instead of just being a slightly different variation of any means necessary with more requires talents none of which have any interactions whatsoever.
Maybe that’s why throw glaive always feels like garbage to play, I wonder, what a Scooby Doo mystery, the ability that barely interacts with anything if nothing at all in a meaningful way that isn’t just do x more damage, doesn’t feel great to play.
I get that you are upset, but you aren’t really helping your case here. You say this:
then immediately reply to the very next post from that person
You say this:
then immediately follow it up with nearly 100 words of argument
You say:
But not only does it not address the issue of having fewer blade dances in your Reaver’s Mark window that was brought up earlier, more importantly i would much rather Aldrachi Reaver gets fixed to stand on its own. I am a big believer that they should fix the hero trees most people dislike within the hero tree, not rely on class/spec tree alterations for it. If it feels miserable to play without a new spec talent that AR has to be made to interact specially with, that is not a good thing. Your suggestions may fix a couple issues with the talent throwing reaver’s glaive, but it doesn’t fix all of them or the tree and i would hate for people to start singing in the streets thinking “oh good AR is fixed now because we don’t have to press glaive” before even playing it and pushing back future changes even further.
My question is… why not join the discord and voice your concerns? You all seem pretty vocal about it here, can’t possibly take much effort to do the same there lol.
