It honestly should never have been increased from 30 second. EB should have be reduced. EB should have been deleted along with momentum and every other movement for damage, buff window stacking, cancerous post-BFA attempt at making the class something it never was supposed to be.
The cycle change is by far the worst thing, I was honestly shocked when I learned how it actually works.
Itâs designed to be awful, whoever came up with that garbage didnât have an ounce of consideration about whether or not this talent would actually feel good to play, they just thought this is different and different is inherently good. Current cycle of hatred is objectively better designed, some people donât like it but at least it always works, you always get the CDR as long as you actually do your rotation, the same cannot be said for this new version, itâs a fundamentally badly designed ability.
originality just for the sake of it is worthless, and I cannot believe this was implemented into the ptr, whoever came up with that should have been laughed at in their face whenever it came up in a meeting or whatever, this doesnât even pass the straight face test, yet somehow it managed to be greenlit and put into the ptr.
What in the actual hell is happening at blizzard?
I have a feeling that there are a few devs coming up with certain terrible ideas on many specs as this kind of stuff tends to happen quite frequently. Too frequently.
BUS SHOCK!!
Oh man i forgot about that.
I was there way back when.
Salute to my fellow old timer.
Yes, removing Any Means Neccessary is a gigantic nerf, pve and pvp.
0/10 troll. or your just illiterate. I never said you wouldnât take KYE, im saying it needs to be baked into the spec instead of a talent due to its sheer power and impact on havoc scaling as a whole.
I get it dude, you despise me for calling you out for being an anti havoc advocator by derailing and offering bad ideas.
at this rate I donât get why they donât just make it 30 base and each point in the talent takes 5 off. Or just make it a 1 point node for 10 off period from 30 second to be 20 as a whole and let us put a talent in other place.
agree. but I could see essence break existing in some small capacity like it was bfa of being an overall loss to take but good in niche situations where you need super high burst at a proper moment.
it was cooked up by blizz from the feedback the holy overlord mods in the fel hammer give them. (AKA purposefully made bad from horrible feedback to sabotage playstyles that do not align with the current havoc playstyle)
You complain so much about mods on discord, that I just disregard your whole opinion. Thereâs a good portion of the havoc player base that likes the movement playstyle. Itâs not just the mods, but youâre so hung up on that one thing, that nobody cares to hear your point of view. I assume youâre bad, thatâs why you post on an alt. Glad nobody cares about your opinion, because itâs trash.
clearly you donât read or just pushing an agenda like the loud minority in the discord as I have said before i do not think movement portion is the issue, I actually do not mind it, but rather fitting all of our damage in small windows as a whole.
good job outing yourself as another bootlicking fel hammer mod shill. Sorry you lack the brain power to think for yourself.
they do love to circle the wagons. got give them credit for that.
Yea, im not particularly happy they are listening to those players, since they werenât gonna play coh regardless.
I would have preferred if they just kept it as it is, and instead provide more options to not play that if they didnât want, which by the way, there was already an option not to play coh, so wtf is the problem exactly? Just complaining for the sake of it. But instead what did they do?
They created this new piece of crap, due to complaints from people who were never gonna play coh anyway.
To be fair though, no one suggested this, the suggestion was either something like raddon, or a flat cdr on eye beam. Not whatever crap they came up with here.
What is the point of even arguing about a mover vs no mover rotation, you guys waste so much time talking about something that should just be a choice.
Every second you waste talking about this and not big things like terrible damage in general and losing AMN is another second ret4rds like Realz continue to fk you and make the class garbage. Get a grip.
The class sucks, even if you had a perfect mover rotation you are still F tier compared to other melee dps.
Actually it works almost always, you just need to use it at the correct time. It is sort of a âthree bearsâ type of thing, you canât use it too soon but if you hold it too long you will be out of range. I have found that if I use it right after I reach the mid way point of VR, it will work correctly.
But your concern about over capping fury is an issue. VR already is a fury generator and now they want you to use another fury generator along side it?
I just wish they would let us play how we want by buffing and nerfing so either playstyle is a equal and similar in output option. but they openly advocate against us in having choice and being able to play how we play without losing output.
Raddon during legion was pretty legit. Legion demonic was so fun, souls reducing eyebeam Cooldown.
it should but it is not, that is why we argue. We want the option to play how we want and be viable at high end content but cannot because one playstyle is so dominant and pushing the other down. And it is not just the movement playstyle but stacking multiple damage buffs to create one short but big damage window that is holding us back at this time.
what we are talking about directly impacts our damage in general. we do crap damage because all our damage is in one small 5 second window. literally. and if we do not address it we will continue to suffer as we have been all expac long.
this is the other big issue, the effort you put into havoc currently is miles beyond just about every other melee but yet we do no damage. not to mention how unfun it is and how big the loss is if you make one mistake. believe me guy, its all tied together.
The blade dance/throw glaive will not trigger Reaver Glaive if you have it up. They already said they donât want people to feel forced into holding Blade Dance so they can have RG up for a burst window.
The reason they ability was so popular in DF was you combined it with the other TG talents. Like the second glaive thrown, burning wounds and serrated glaives. And AMN on top and you have a decent amount of free damage that was all being converted to chaos and increased by our mastery. Now the problem is without AMN, that damage is going to suffer a lot.
The data mined talent changes smack of Felhammer idiocy.
At this point I can only assume the WoW devs are trying to sabotage the class, because anyone with half a brain sees how oblivious these changes are to both the class and WoWâs core gameplay design.
At this point though itâs whatever. Iâm tired of waiting and hoping for someone competent to take the classâs reigns. If it gets bad enough Iâll just stop playing.
Weâre going to have to agree to disagree on FB being consistent. I know how itâs âsupposedâ to work. It can easily be replicated on a dummy. It doesnât consistently work in actual practice though. Thereâs a myriad of reasons that this can happen, and yes âskillâ in timing things can be one of them. Itâs not the only thing though.
Ultimately, FB being added as a trigger for inertia is good overall for the class. Even if I donât particularly care for intertia.
I donât know how theyâre going to address the fury overcapping issue now. We need FB as a generator, just like we need VR as a generator (in the current design).
If it doesnât proc reaver and they donât fix the interactions to make it work with brutality correctly, itâs frankly nothing more than a glorified % damage increase.
No offense to people who like this, but have you actually taken an objective look at this talent? Without the hunt CDR or reaver what interesting interactions could screaming brutality possibly have?
The answer is nothing.
Itâs just some extra priority damage at most. Barely more interesting than any means necessary
Itâs WAY overhyped
The ability could have been interesting if, if worked with reaver, they fixed the combo interaction for aldrachi by making it so you always get the full benefit regardless of which ability to press first, and if they made it work with cycle of hatred, basically the glaive would have reduced the cd of beam, but it doesnât interact with anything, so itâs just extra damage, which is okâŚ
So was any means necessary and any means necessary was removed because it was frankly pretty boring for a capstone.
If this is what they had in mind for screaming brutality, I would have much rather seen the current tier set being made into a talent, that would have at least be somewhat interesting by providing a proc that you react to.
People are losing their mind over this talent and Iâm here like⌠Wtf?? Whereâs the justification to be so happy about a talent that barely does anything other than damage.
They donât want you to feel forced to hold blade dance. Itâs like a 10 second CD base or something? Come on, this argument holds water like a bucket full of holes, itâs a joke, itâs laughable
The fact that we need to use two movement abilities, just to stay in the same place and do damage is ridiculous.
Leave movement for movementâs sake.
Love the irony.
The current tier set could easily be baked into the tree, and it should. Survival has had it done.
These changes are piecemeal and it really just seems like they are throwing boogers on the wall. There doesnât seem to be any coherency or vision in mind.
