Delves being “too rewarding” is not a problem created by delve players

Anything you say is completely irrelevant.

Get ready to move those goalposts again!

This thread was made specifically because doing delves to get gear is considered the meta because they’re so easy and the effort required doesn’t comport with the rewards given lol

I think that you think that the term meta is only applicable to class design, which makes this entire exchange even funnier lol

I don’t think the 1% of top players in this game pushing people to do delves means they’re bad. It makes sense why they would.

I think guilds who are very clearly not in the top 1% pushing players to do delves are lmao

You appear to have played the game during DF, where they not only redid rewards structures but completely overhauled gear progression from S1 to S2.

Nope. I can discuss things with people that I disagree with all the time unless they are obtuse.

Myzrm and I don’t always agree but they have always been respectfull to me and vice versatility.

Like “YoU cAnT mAkE MYTHIC pRoGrEsS oNlY a FeW hOuRs A wEeK!!”

Same thing applies though. Until it stops giving you a chance at upgrades, which increases your chance of success, it makes sense to run them.

You enjoy bashing me fairly well, and I’m not rude to you. I mean it’s ok. I think it’s kind of fun and funny sometimes, but you love telling me how terrible I am.

Admittedly, I did stop trying to be good. I haven’t even chanted my gear. That crap’s expensive.

I was exaggerating on purpose. I don’t think you realize what goes into playing at that level already and then adding yet another chore on top of that is to enjoy the game.

I didn’t call you terrible once. Stop making up lies because you couldn’t make a valid point.

My guild stopped pushing delves after the first week of release once everything opened up. The only time we ever do delves is when we have nothing else to do.

Non-issue. Get a better guild lol

Get your motorized cart ready. Who am I kidding, you already have it running.

Non-issue for a guild that stops progression <AoTC sure.

I’m surprised heroic guilds made people run delves.

We’re currently pushing Broodtwister on mythic but pop off anyways, sweetheart lmao

I get called bad by a lot of people on the forums. If that wasn’t you I apologies. I wasn’t trying to berate you. But I honestly though it was you.

On a different note I made my point perfectly ty. I want easy content. I like easy content. I don’t want easy content nerfed.

Good luck. Triple worm packs are lots of fun. Reminds me of that soccer fight in BFA.

Nope. Wasn’t me. I never called you bad. I said you were incorrect about gear being locked behind time played.

Your content would still be easy.

Yes, it would. But we all want to farm for better Ilvl. If I max my I lvl at blues, I’ll no long have a reason to log in. If my gear is pathetic I will also not care to log in. It has to seem worth it. Grind slowly for gear is exactly what delves give you. Gear quickly is what M+ gives you. Delves are easy/slow, M+ = Hard / Fast. That works for most, not sure why some take issue with it.

Not really. Maybe a very small minority, but this is a take I have never heard and I pug constantly in M+.

Again, never heard this from anyone. I didn’t run delves on this char, I simply bought 567 or 575 crafted gear or whatever and went into M+. I do know some people in my guild have said they think its nice you can use delves to get an alt going and not have to deal with the 2-7 key bracket, but never anyone complaining about it.

It’s not, because the frustration doesn’t exist.

Ions supposed goal is to stop the weird situation that arises when delve players decide to try out M+ and find themselves in a situation they are not prepared for. Keys get bricked and its a bad experience for everyone.

The solution to this problem wouldn’t be to nerf delve rewards, but rather to add “checkpoints” to the different dungeons that restrict players from queueing up for keys that they aren’t ready for.

These could be account wide achievements for doing the dungeon on M0, +5, +7, and +9 respectively. You can’t queue for a 5 unless you have done it on a 0, can’t queue for 7 until you have done on a 5, etc.

While I agree it’s a small minority there are examples in this thread to peek at.

That being said I think this is one of the many “forum problems” that don’t actually make their way into the game to a large degree.

I think this would cause more uproar from the M+ crowd than anything else. “Forcing” them to play by these rules rather than 3 chesting their way to 10s on day one would not go over well.

I don’t think it would limit these delvers that much if it opens all the way to 5s by just doing 0s either.

Isn’t that what they use IO scores for? Seems to me if they are inviting people to their +8 with a zero score screwing up their keys that is a problem they created for themselves.
