None of this is my choice. I have literally zero influence over decisions like this. You’re trying to hypothetically argue. What are you looking to get out of this?
Yes, I’ll always take more. Wow isn’t the only game I play. I don’t commit to a second job, I mean guild schedule. It’s a chore I don’t subject myself to anymore. More gear means I can gear more alts which means I can run content faster and if I can run content faster I have time for more alts.
Delves only drop hero from delver’s bounties and vault, I think it’s in the right place, or close enough anyway. They can’t make it as difficult as say m+10, because Blizzard has never been able to balance challenging content for solo.
It also barely drops gilded crests so hero track doesn’t make or break the mode anyway, at least not anywhere as m+ does.
Honestly just curious what your overarching stance was. Now I know you have literally zero regard for how difficulty relates to reward in this game at all.
That seems unlikely but, whatever. If you’re truly a “cutting edge” player, then you are the very top % and your experience is very far from that of those for whom delves were intended.
Again, if you’re talking about high-end players, then this argument doesn’t matter. For the section of the player base which delves were intended, above T8 is a massive challenge, especially when you consider 99% of those people are likely not even 616 yet.
Plenty of people disagree and it’s not hurting you.
Yeah, it’s not rocket surgery kid.
Wut?
Anyone using delve loot to gear up for M+ is just trying to take a shortcut. A simple glance at achievements and rating will tell group leaders all they need to know. If anything, those people are just over-geared to run the lower keys and prepare for higher-end content so, it’s still a win, the problem is people trying to cut corners not the loot.
Delve loot caps at 603 CHAMPION. You only get hero track loot if you run 8 T8s in a week. That’s not easy to do just from a time perspective. The vault for delves makes sense, but the higher difficulty content should get better rewards in their vaults.
Every time someone posts something along this lines they get increasingly incorrect. They drop 603 champion or 610 hero at the end of delves, the 610 hero is able to be farmed without a cap. You get 616 vault if you run at least 2 T8 delves, not 8.
You can easily do sub-10 minute T8s.
The vault level doesn’t make sense. Again, it is the same as mid-tier M+ levels that would be awarding KSM, but it lacks any difficulty.
Like being so bad at the effing game we can’t complete an m0.
I’m at work forgive me and i have to swipe fast.
Grats though bro.
Most delvers and world questers are they type of ppl that are mad that arcane missiles is a proc now and they swear they used to do more damage by just spamming it.
I love that people keep bringing up the bounty maps when I’ve seen about 10 (some of which were while tiering up my delves, I got one in a tier 3 rofl) total across 6 alts running 2-4 delves each weekly for the entire season.
I suppose if they were warbound I’d have been able to gear one character that way by now. Hot stuff there guys. Definitely a reliable way to “gear.”
I’m not going to tar all solo players with the same brush, but the vocal minority of them on this forum are proving blatantly that gear is the primary thing they care about. Not even gear really, but item level. They desperately want to have a number on that part of their character sheet that is as close to the highest number as possible, just because.
They don’t care about having satisfying progression. They don’t care about a quality gameplay experience. They don’t care about the health of the overall game. They literally just want that number to be as close to the raiders and M+ players as they can get it because they’re jealous.
You know who isn’t secretly trying to inflate their ilvl because they look at other people with greedy, beady little eyes? PvP players. PvP players got their PvP scaling and the vast majority couldn’t be more chuffed about it. Because they actually are what all these solo players shrilling on the forums claim to be, but aren’t. PvP players just want to play their content without having to do unrelated content first. That’s what most of us have always wanted. Advice in the PvP world is literally to remember not to spend extra gold on higher tier crafting mats, because it only impacts your irrelevant PvE ilvl.
You know what a solo player who actually just wants to play their solo content and have meaningful progression within each season sounds like? They sound like, “Oh damn, yeah, that sucks about the lower key ranges and lower tiers of raiding. Blizzard should fix that. Doesn’t matter to me what track my gear is so long as I have progression and don’t have to do group content first before my own aspirational content is feasible.”
