Delves are kinda too easy now

Delves have been easy enough for my 620 Prot Warrior with Brann healing me.

Tier 10 and 11 have been a slog because everything is a damage sponge at that ilvl.

FYI Delve: Pacifist Rig Curio Breaks Brann

Yup, feels just like last season. Recommended ilvl is dramatically higher than needed, enemy damage is very low, health pools are overly large. The only real difference I noticed is that Brann doesn’t take less AoE damage from the frontal charge on one of the delve mobs and will randomly die from it.

Oh dear, The Bugs Within strikes again. :weary:

Honestly, I really like the way alternate characters can experience challenges and obtain basic gear without pressure,
which is also why I keep playing World of Warcraft.

Tourghast 2.0

Every tank I knew had 0 problems doing delevs in S1 also so im not sure it’s any different.

Except Boreghast never dropped anything useful outside of itself and was “required”. Delves can be avoided as everything in them can be obtained elsewhere… far as I know.

But they’re designed for people who are UPGRADING their Hero gear, not for peeps already 658. They’re also designed for peeps who aren’t M+ heroes. And for every spec. And as the filthiest of casuals I’m dang glad for that. :see_no_evil::speak_no_evil::hear_no_evil:

11s required some work even at 616 gear

They don’t require work this time

Given that the recommended item level provided by Blizzard is 658, I’m going to need to see some sort of citation on the claim that they aren’t intended for people who are 658.

I don’t think absolute parity is possible but what they’ve chosen to do just feels like they’ve given up. I guess it’s not surprising since it’s the same thing they did with Zekvir.

When Blizzard announced they were doing solo player endgame content and progression I thought they’d give a proper go of it.

Easy now?
They were always easy, especially on tanks. I’m already soloing 11s with no issues.
They were really never hard to begin with.

Don’t do them if they are too easy for you. Go find more difficult content – There I fixed your issue, you are welcome.

It is proper end game progress for solo players. It’s literally kept me subbed since the start of the expansion. Just sounds like this content isn’t for you and good news, you can safely ignore it.

Again, not surprised when you’re near 640.

It’s gear progression. There’s not difficulty progression to match the rest of the game.

Well here is the real uncomfortable truth about delves that a lot of people don’t like to acknowledge.

The reason delves are so easy to some people, is because it exposes the fact that the majority of this games “difficulty” in higher end content, is the act of carrying bad players or subpar players.

If you have any reasonable sense of spatial awareness, and are able to rotate your CDs for interrupts and damage mitigation, and know how to pull what is appropriate, Delves are a complete cake walk.

Its the same in M+ when you have a group filled with people who are not turbo Spergs and just slow roll a dungeon and carefully do what needs to be done with out overpulling its easy as hell.

Wait, so are delves actually easier now in S2 than they were in S1? I don’t mean relative to the ilvl for each season either, I mean like…if someone’s ilvl remains the exact same for both, will they have an easier time in delves now in S2 than they did in S1?

If so, that sounds like something’s way off with balancing and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more tuning in the near future.

It’s easier to do high-end content with better players, but delves are trivial to do because they don’t deal anything near the same level of damage, have nowhere near the level of mechanics required, and have no throughput checks of any kind. Unavoidable damage isn’t going to kill you in T11s well below recommended item level, avoidable damage isn’t very hard hitting either. It’s not an issue of carrying people, it’s the fact that the content itself lacks anything that is a meaningful threat.
