Delves are great BUT traps and objectives are bad

And Delves weren’t made for those players. Just like Mythic+ wasn’t made for me.

I did my first heroic dungeon run last night with guild mates and it was a blast. We had absolutely no idea what mechanics were in store for us but once we figured it out after a few wipes, we enjoyed it. However, I’m also disappointed with the rewards offered. Seems sparce for the effort.

I rather like the Delves only wish they might have been designed with more Torghast similarities. Delves at least offer up treasure chests and piles of money as well as a few surprise chests. Its an interesting concept to have chests pop up as you progress through out the delve environment.

Me too

Yes, empty chests and 15 gold.

Yeah I kind of agree, I like killing stuff in the game and often when they add this extra stuff it just gets a bit tedious. I feel the same about dungeons that have “fun” mechanics, like just let me bash this guy with my weapon or spell please!

Kill 4 spies and go to the otherside of the dungeon talk with mr.spider

As I suspected: no actual proof, as we can’t have proof of what millions enjoy, and you’re just trying to dismiss what doesn’t fit your narrative.

The 2 or 3 gold at the end per pile is funny.

Most people agree with MY position on things. Or his name is Most People.

This is not a narrative, this short thread already prove it. Most players don’t like traps, doens’t matter how hard you try to defend it.

The entire reward structure for this is like that.

Step one: Go to a zone and do between 3-5 WQ to unlock the zone “boss” quest.
Step two: Finish the zone “boss” quest.
Step three: collect reward from “boss” quest, which is a key for a reward from a delve.
Step four: Go do delve and collect reward from it in the empowered chest.
Step 5: Profit?

All that is for a shot at ONE piece of gear.
At least nobody can call this “welfare” gear or free loot, because we definitely are putting in the work.

I actually like the change in pace.

I genuinely dont understand this burning desire people have for all content to be a “Rush in and AoE a bunch of mobs” and the only difference is where on the map you do it. Like “Oooh this content is new because we are AoEing mobs in a CAVE and not in a field”.

Its just boring.

This post is a trap.

Yea, I just noticed this the other day.

Rather than carrying the candle, I just move it.

In Tier 3, the poison isn’t that bad, it recovers quickly, and makes looking for treasures pretty painless.

I imagine at higher levels, its more lethal, or the purifier doesn’t last as long.

I’m a warlock, so it’s no big deal, but can’t imagine what it’s like for the Evokers, DHs, and Mages which trend toward more kinetic gameplay that stick in the mud me.

And, yea, it’s not the crash into the room, “Dun dun DUNNN!!!” with Warrior like fanaticism and glee for combat. Its a drag to have to worry about that stuff.

I enjoy the potential sedate pace of them, but I think I’d rather have a timer so my balls out toons can, you know, go balls out.

Do not leash the D0rf Warriors – the do not cope well with it.

Ocarina of Time water temple or I’m out.

Do a higher level.

man F that place, i’m 34 and i still need to use a guide

I’m sorry, but are you trying to use a forum thread to determine how many players like 1 thing over another?

Bruh… you’re talking about a fraction of a fraction of people here. I mean seriously, the vast, vast, vast, vast majority of players never come to the forums, and of the tiny subsection that do, only a tiny number are here in this thread.

So in short, this thread is not proof that “most people” like anything.

This forum is roughly one percent of the playerbase, according to Blizzard. So no, it “proves” nothing. It’s an opinion thread for us to share our views.

My view is: Delves should have interesting gameplay that isn’t just mindlessly killing monsters, as we already have that with dungeons and Delves aren’t dungeons.

My opinion is: I find having objectives, traps, puzzles, etc. more interesting.

You are allowed to feel differently. But you don’t get to dismiss others with a “most players” made up argument.

Yes lets all ignore that 95% of players never visit the forums and the ones that do are predominantly a very specific type of player making the forums a non representative echo chamber.
