They could. And that’s when you hear about 486’s also getting dumpstered.

“C’mon rejel just try a mythic with us. They aren’t to bad. You will have fun. Just try it.”

“Oh okay guys let me go watch a 30 min video explaining dungeon mechanics first.”

No thanks. May make sense to you but it doesn’t work for me.

Yeah I could read spell descriptions in the journal. Sure. But I have no idea what those spells look like.

Sorry I didn’t do my research before being talked into trying it for the first time with guildys. Lol.

You don’t need to watch a 30 minute video; I seldom do, myself. But reading the journal will give you an idea of what to expect.

Then you see something and you can think “oh, that’s THAT thing, I remember reading that” and have a better idea what to do.

And you’re not alone, you have friends with you to help you figure it out.

There’s also nothing wrong with wiping and trying again. It’s expected. It’s how we learn.

So I just double checked. Only difference on Overgrown Ancient from Heroic to Mythic: little adds have a chance to apply a bleed. Aside from that, 100% the same fight. And 1 more bleed from the big add that persists.

So technically from normal to mythic, there are no “mechanical” changes, green circle has been there for 18 months in every difficulty (even the leveling experience from 61-70)

According to some in this thread. It’s unacceptable for first timers. Lol

I also suddenly need to become a pink parser and do 500k DPS. Because right now 225k DPS is “bad and healer levels”

No you don’t get it, may make sense to you but doesn’t work for HIM. No reading, no guide, no fails allowed.

You’re the one that has failed to get anything about this thread.

Ignore them.

One of the few youtubers I watch is GitGudFox, who always says, “You can’t skip over starting off bad, but you don’t have to BE good to GET good.”

You’re fine. It’s a zero, so there’s no fail state outside of people’s patience fraying.

Mhm, but once you fight the boss once you do know what they look like, and the journal can help you figure out what went wrong. It’s an important tool for learning in the moment.

It sounds like you also had a little trouble with the chains boss in Nelth, and there’s nothing wrong with that either. The Ancient and Chargath are both pretty severe mechanics checks. Zeroes are tough but not insurmountable, and they’re the ideal content to learn in.

A few snarky replies aside, you’ve gotten some good feedback in this thread. I hope you apply it moving forward and don’t get too discouraged when things get tough. You can’t learn unless you fail, right?

Yep gonna give it another go. I was frustrated when I made this. We didn’t stand in green circle we were told not to. So it was just a wipe fest anyway.

We got neltharion/nelthareus? Lol eventually and it was way more smooth.

Our tank just got the green circle thing wrong.

The Neltharus chains boss is also notoriously buggy, so sometimes you wipe and you didn’t even do anything wrong.

L2P issue, obviously you and your buddies arent nearly as “good” as you think. Wah wah

Don’t make me get out the spray bottle for you…

LOL no. Especially with a Prevoker. You stand five states away and drop crap where it shouldn’t be or don’t get into stuff when you need to, you’re just making everyone’s life harder.

My thought, as well. lol

Once upon a time, MM Hunter was “the further away you are, the more damage you do.” They since changed that.

THANK YOU…

Learning to play and being good go hand in hand apparently for this guy. Lol.

Frustration is common and understandable when you have an experience like yours. The cool thing is, now that you have a bit more knowledge under your belt, you can help players who are in the position you were in at the start of this thread.

Ignore the overly critical folks. Everybody makes mistakes and we’re all just here to have fun.

You’re the delusional brah that thinks they pull great dps.

Do you read brah?

depends on the pack but theres a difference between not baiting things in melee and standing at max range for the fun of it

for example, the trash in aa for the most part is safe to stay stacked, with the exception of the big ravager packs in which case one ranged or the healer should los the jump.

You didnt say youre a 499 shadow priest that pulls great dps with the rest of the group being so great aside from a 480 envoker? But couldnt clear the 1st boss of AA lmao . Youre delusional.
