I don’t say this to be mean or hurtful at all, this is merely feedback to an observation but 200k dps on a large group of mobs like the first boss of AA is actually quite low.
Again not trying to insult, just giving you some reference.
I am honestly not sure what my dps was on all those mobs because I was more focused on the fight. I was refering to a normal trash pack.
is 200k still low for 5-8 mobs?
I know that and I appreciate it.
It seems like Blizzard is having a paradigm shift with the difficulty sliders. Maybe a Microsoft move?
Kinda sounds like a skill issue. It’s okay to have a skill cap just acknowledge yours is heroic dungeons and the better mythic loot is just our of your reach.
Mythic 0 in previous expansions were just glorified heroics that weren’t able to be queued.

M0s are manageable with pugs all at 470.
This is what I’ve been saying for weeks and people keep dismissing the disparity in difficulty jump.
My guild had to go in with everyone at 490ish and we still have issues. But I also have this issue with group finder people.
So I get it.
I acknowlege a “Skill issue”
I said multiple times this was my first time and I was learning.

This is basically what my guild said prior to us starting. After they talked me into trying anyway. And that definitely wasn’t the experience. I like I get to see all the mechanics on Mythic. And when we downed a boss it felt really good. But the stress getting that boss down does not outweigh the good feels.
I don’t know what groups you’re running with, but they aren’t.
Stand back up, dust your knees off, and keep trying. Practice makes perfect.
Don’t give up and keep working at it.

I haven’t played the patch honestly, and I have fallen over the years from a mythic raider. Seldom of my irl friends play anymore and it just gets harder to justify staying.
Don’t stress yourself out during what should be relaxation and distraction. Play what you find fun.
The gear and such gets replaced every few months anyway.
They are, you just have to do the mechanics. OP admitted he wasn’t willing to put any sort of effort into learning the mechanics since heroics don’t teach them.
From what I’ve heard, you have to be around 485ish.
I perhaps will try more. We’ll see tonight I may try a pug or to start my own learning group but I have really bad anxiety and I do not forsee pugs going well for me.

Why thank you. ![]()
I didn’t realize being with guildys and sticking it out through wipes and trying to learn the mechanics was no effort.

I’ve run three characters through 0s and 2s. Anyone below 485 just makes things more difficult, take too long and people die and the group fails.
That’s not what OP said. What Rejel did say is that you CAN’T learn the mechanics in Heroics because they’re stupidly easy and stuff falls over. There’s no time to learn anything and the mechanics aren’t even the same.
You’re just making stuff up to act elitist.
At the lowest, yeah. It’s still slow going with that, unless people really know their specs well— and most don’t.
First week we ran with a friend both 487, no problems at all /shrug
For that fight:
you mark the tank and everyone tight stacks on the tank. Not 5 yards, like less than melee range. ON THE TANK.
Boss will cast bark breaker, it’s a heavy tank only hit. Heals should focus on the tank during and shortly after it. This is when the tank should use a moderate cooldown for themselves.
Next step starts when germinate starts, everyone rotates with the tank, there are 3 sets of swirls. Because you stacked, all the adds are tightly packed. You’ll start cleaving and aoeing down the adds now. This is when you use your first dps cooldown.
Shortly after germinate he’ll spawn the add that heals and puts an aoe bleed on everyone. About 5-6 seconds after germinate ends. The big add will immediately cast a heal on the boss, kick that heal, pull him on top of the boss, and Focus down this add while continuing to get cleave damage on the little adds and boss. The healer will pop a moderate cooldown here and start big healing the group because of the bleed damage. Dps should use a defensive, this is the only damage you should take during the fight…
When the big add dies he’ll spawn a green circle. Everyone should be in that green circle because it’ll clear the bleed.
The boss casts burst forth, which makes all the little adds that are left spawn and start attacking. The tank should use an aoe cooldown to pick up the adds here. The adds stack a poison on the tank, this should be dispelled on cooldown. If there are a lot of adds, the tank should be using another small cooldown here. Aoe CC the adds with things like capacitor totem to slow poison stacks. If you manage to cleave down most of the adds by this point, you effectively skip this step.
The fight repeats these steps for the most part, except the boss will immediately cast burst forth after the second germinate ends. The tank should use an aoe taunt and heavy defensive cooldown for that. Give the tank 2-3 globals to get threat and then burn a dps cooldown to kill the adds. Heal should use a cooldown to help heal the tank, dps should not be taking damage if the tank maintains threat. We’re pumping all our defensives and heals into tank right now. Sometimes this will overlap with bark buster too.
Rinse and repeat. As a dps you’re stuck to the tank like you’re glued together. You should not be anywhere the tank isn’t. There is no cleave during this fight.
Wasn’t there so won’t deny your experience. Will only say it has not been mine. We’ve blown through M-0s like candy, and not all doing 200k either. It does help to learn the fights; that’s part of the game. On tree boss in Algeth’ar, for example, you have to cc & kill the Branch add that comes out, so players can drop stacks of a debuff. If you don’t know that, haven’t read the dungeon journal, don’t know how to look at your recap and/or logs to see how you died… That might get you.
