As it stands now, you have nothing changing your mind meaning you’re running away because it was “too hard”. Nothing you posted changed anything lol you’re looking for someone to hold your hand and tell you you did a good job.
I don’t do participation trophies so don’t be expecting me to tell you good job for a job clearly not done well.
Play with better players. You’ll never see it with your own eyes if you refuse to get better. Claiming the super bowl doesn’t exist because I didn’t play in it is a very bad argument to try to make. But you do you.
No one compared you. It’s simply showing you the proof you asked for.
That should be enough to 3-chest a M0. And do it without breaking a sweat.
Now you’re saying this is your first, so… once you allow for a learning curve, you should still EASILY time this.
Something is wrong. And it’s not the difficulty of an M0.
As others have said, your overall dps sounds a bit low. And all the wipes imply you simply don’t know the mechanics of the dungeon.
And when you say things like “we wiped to it 3 times”, it then says “we don’t know them, are ignoring them, and will continue to ignore them.” After the first wipe, you should know what killed you, and then make adjustments. Three wipes in and … at i500, this isn’t the fault of the dungeon.
Sorry. Your team just needs to get better at learning the dungeon. Since the in-game tools aren’t helping, that means you need to watch some videos, etc. I HIGHLY recommend a content creator named “Quazii.” His stuff is very informative and helpful.
If we accept the OP’s post at face value ( A dubious proposition on these forums, I know ) they said it was their first time in M+ and It sounded like they were failing the tree boss due to mechanics, not lack of DPS or gear.
If this is true it’s a design problem worth considering. Because for a group of new players there’s not a lot of indicators as to how to run that fight.
Yeah compared to 99% pink parsers who know the ins and outs of these dungeons.
yeah, our tank being wrong about the green circle.
Really it does? Strange. We had the green circle wrong in academy. Sure, but we got through Neltharion. Because I stuck it out and learned the fights and I never ignored the mechanics. Sorry it took 3 wipes to get it on the first try.
I’ve been here long enough to remember why the dungeon journal was added: Because people complained “I shouldn’t have to go to external resources to learn how to do the fights.”
Except now it’s devolved to “I shouldn’t have to read to learn how to do the fights.”
Then you should should remember how poorly received many of their descriptions are. C’mon now. I am not the only one that thinks the dungeon journal can be comical. I haven’t really tried reading it since legion so maybe it has improved.
That’s fine and dandy, but he wasn’t claiming your DPS was low. He was discussing your group as a whole. I could pull 500k dps and still fail a dungeon. Doesn’t mean my DPS is low, just that:
Yes because you get hostile towards anyone saying you or the group were doing things wrong and respond pleasantly to people telling you good job.
Here let me dumb it down for you.
You: If I don’t witness it first hand in my own dungeons that I run then it doesn’t exist
Me: So…if you never played in the superbowl before, does that mean it doesn’t exist?

It’s not there isn’t any indicators how to run that fight, they just refuse to use the tools available to see indications on how to run that fight. That’s been addressed as well.
Strategies aren’t made by Blizzard period.
Encounters are. How you handle those encounters are considered strats. That is done by the playerbase and there isn’t a set in stone way to go about it
Really compounds on the issue of the players here lol
Don’t care gotta learn somehow and I am not watching 30 min videos on youtube for each dungeon for a mythic 0.
You don’t learn them for a mythic 0, you spend 30 min to learn a dungeon for the entire season (6 months). It’s worth it
More than that if they come back, the s4 dungeons were already in the S1/S2 rotation, so i didnt have to watch again
Now, i understand how and why you didnt had fun, but with a bit more of knowledge and dedication it will start to feel really nice and rewarding. I love M+
It also marks the mechanics that are new for Mythic. If somebody’s used to doing the Heroic version (which lacks several mechanics), a quick flip through to just read the new Mythic ones (which are marked as such!) is worth the time.
Mhm. It’s no substitute for an in depth video of course, but it’s an excellent thing to have on hand to flip through, especially in conjunction with something like Details that can show you what killed you.
I believe the issue is the gearing and itemization of more casual players. A 486 and a 476 sounds close on paper but the 476 could be missing: flask, runes, previous season 4 set, 2 embellishments, good secondary stats, good trinkets.
