Definition: Pathfinder (Blizzard Defined)

No started playing late '09- early '10. Your point?

You are here, sounding exactly like a boomer, showing nothing factual once, posting your opinion, and then proudly showing how your grandkid taught you how to use the # symbol and what it means, much like oh the boomers get that word of the day desktop calendars then use that danged word all day.

Hate to break it to you, Pathfinder honestly isn’t bad at all. The only actual problem with it in general is how its spaced. That is not a fundamental problem with the system, its a flawed in execution. The fact you do not quite understand those concepts themselves shows a lot of comprehension lackings you have.

Also funny that you claim as if playing in 2004 was some good thing, when flying was not in game until 20070, so WoW itself didn’t have flying until 2007 there genius.

Also funny how just two expansions after flying is introduced, and game is designed around them (Cata, MoP) subs also crash HARD. Almost like…really…flying doesn’t make or break a thing in game. Almost like, you guys just want something to complain about, because you are unhappy and didn’t get your napnap in today, so you pick pathfinder. Then later, it’ll be the next thing. and the next.

Why? You are unhappy miserable peeps and just wanna complain. Its funny how you think anyone should cater to you…considering if they literally gave you everything you asked for in a game, you would still find something to complain about.

You just disagree. You’re entitled to your opinion and I am to mine.

But you sound like a 15 year old when you name-call.

Again boomer using that new # use the grandkids taught him. So proud learning something new. Almost cute if wasn’t so danged sad

Also note, you haven’t actually contributed ANYTHING to any conversation but that hashtag. You have no actual contribution or way to defend your opinion, it just is your opinion and you just lack ability to defend it. Your like the guy on the posts for feedback just saying “it sucks”

OK tried to be civil, you’re on ignore.

And yet BFA with pathfinder planned was the fastest selling expansion in wows history… So i guess maybe the majority of the player base care about other stuff instead of flying but thats just me.

LOL. Dunno what this claim is based on. I didn’t buy it.

And if BfA is so awesome, why are all the retail servers empty? Why do they have to provide window dressing by CRZ?

Retail is pretty empty.

Because most servers, especially PVP servers where one sided messes during pandaland and classic… I mean i dont remember where i saw those stats but im pretty sure on my info…

A lot of players feel the same. The way it is time gated in various ways makes it the worst achievement in the game.

The reality is somewhere in the middle. People bought BFA piggybacking on th success of Legion. However as Blizzard made things more tied to rep for power progression people became more annoyed with not being able to fly. Its clear blizzard is not going to change this new 8.2 bfa/wow rep for power structure even though it sucks. So people are playing the game less overall.

I want to see how Shadowlands will sell. Alot of people buy into the expansion to get to max level and then park their toons at this level, unsub, then come back when flying is released. So expansion purchase numbers are not the definitive gauge of success. MAUs are. Blizzard has not released any wow maus since MOP. With all the CRZ its hard to tell how many players there are around. What I can tell you is that in MOP it felt like alot more.

Personally I am holding onto my purchase for now. Maybe ill buy it 9-12 months into Shadowlands once flying is released and I could buy it at a discount. There is little reason for me to spend hours of extra time over the year of no flying to get power that will be scrapped the next patch. Its just wasted time for an inferior experience.

Patch 8.3 on the PTR is going to chase away more players than stick around. Patch 8.3 undoes a lot of the goodwill built up with patch 8.2. Quite sad really.

You are mistaken. CRZ is used to create the illusion that the servers are populated. Nothing more.

If it had been devised to remedy an issue on PvP servers it would have stayed solely on PvP servers which, as you know, no longer exist in retail.

RP servers do not have CRZ except in major cities, so they are even emptier than most servers.

Wasn’t a problem until the devs made it one /thread.

Good il enjoy my experience then while you dont

Create the illusion… Well if theres people all around me playing than im still having a social gameplay experience…

Except…

You can’t guild with them or trade; you can’t form a community with them… they are strictly one-offs you won’t ever see again.

And there is a vast difference between having a community of players from the same server and importing players from other servers to provide window dressing.

Oh no. That would be World Quests.

Name one other feature in the game as popular as player flight. I’ll wait.

how does this actually work?

I can get Pathfinder 1 in under a month from release. Then cancel my subscription until Pathfinder 2 is released. Then i can get it in under a month as well. So two months of subscription for Pathfinder at most.

What about the other 22 months of an expansion? how does Pathfinder keep my subscribed for them? It doesn’t is the valid answer. Other activities would keep someone subscribed.

Do other activities keep you subscribed? BfA is pretty light on interesting content, let alone, content you would want to repeat.

And I agree as an incentive to stay subbed, PF does not quite meet the mark, does it?

I am subscribed. WOW is pretty cheap entertainment for a few hours a week of game play. I mean it is as low as $12.99 a month. That is similar to 3 coffees a month. Less than a ticket to the Movies. Less than Netflix. Less than a new book.

I guess it all depends on your perspective of the game. If you don’t find value, then you shouldn’t subscribe. It really is as simple as that.
