The anti-Pathfinder folks seem to think they can affect change merely by attrition. Spam it enough times and the devs will cave. They’re not going to. At this point, the threads should be flagged as trolling.

We are going to the Shadowlands. I’m sure this “dead” horse will pop up again.
I have an idea. Somewhere in the Shadowlands there is a rotting dead horse named Pathfinder and all around it are these small little creatures continuingly hitting it with a stick.

Pathfinder is none of these things. It is forcing you to fully play through the content before you can skip over it.
If being on the ground is as fun as people claim they’d still use their ground mount. If they don’t then they value efficiency over fun and should be in favor of flying.

A smart business move.
Any for profit company wants to extend its profits long term.
But they cannot do it without your permission.
You always have the option to not pay them.

I am convinced its a combination of two things. Laziness and spite.
I sometimes wonder how some of these low effort garbage systems even made it past the drawing board. Azerite, islands and warfronts are three classic examples of “wtf were you guys thinking?”. Then it occurs to me. Cheap and fast way to produce “content” thats low effort and high time played yeild. Gate good gear and player progression behind them and voila even tho the playerbase largly hates these systems they partake so they can go play the parts they actually enjoy.
Flying fits neatly into this due to it massively slowing down your players from completing tasks out in the world (I.E WQs and caches). The spiteful part comes in where the devs projectile vomited WoD out onto the servers and it was hot garbage. They didnt add flying cause they new it was hit garbage. When the player base revolted they had their “fine i will take my toys and go home” attitude kicked into overdrive and we have been dealing with that mindset ever since.
“Dont like artifact power grind? Fine, heres the HoA which is objectively worse in every way… have fun!”

I like pathfinding. Its keep flying out of the game for some time. Ground travel is more immersive and interesting

Yeah its so incredibly immersive that i mount up on my Infinate Time Reaver and hit my space bar to watch my epic dragon jump instead of fly cause he somehow forgot to fly because i didnt get 6 random factions to like me… yeah so immersive…

It isn’t about fun its about efficiency. You know that, your argument is beyond disingenuous and you know it. You don’t want to fly because its fun to move up…you want to fly because it is more convenient to fly over the stuff on the ground. No one with a brain is going to do the harder method of movement just BECAUSE they want to.
Just because your position makes you a complete hypocrit doesnt make someone pointing that out disengenous. Sorry not sorry if you find being on a ground mount “better gameplay” then stick to that but if flying comes availiable and ur flying well then you arent so convinced by your own “convictions”. Whatever your excuse is it doesnt fly (ha) with me anymore…
Now to those who believe that and dont fly my hat goes off to you and your opinion i respect entirely. Its the blatant hypocrits i dont care for.

On the other hand i can use my favorite ground mounts without handicapping myself.
I’m sorry…are you me? Do you think for me? I don’t think so. Stop telling me why I like something. I think flying is fun. I think flying encourages exploration much better than being on the ground.
I’ve been to more “oh what’s that” places since I got flying than I ever did while on the ground.
This is a video game. It’s sole purpose is to have fun. If being on the ground is fun people would stick to the ground. They don’t because they’re hypocrites. They say one thing then do another.

Where in the heck did I say it was better game play? Show me. Until then do not put words in my mouth. All I have ever said is pathfinder is FINE as is. That included unlocking flying LATER and having it be balanced so you still play the game. You apparently are just unable to take degrees of opinion and boil it to “If they like pathfinder they no like flying.” and “If they like pathfinder they only like ground mounts” like a caveman. Sorry but hate to break reality for you, people can like things and not totally disagree to the concept of another thing. I know, hard to wrap your head around but that is true.
But then my expansion would essentially cost twice as much since I wouldn’t be playing for half the expansion. If it was just the sub fee this logic would be fine. 
Then just buy it when flying is released. Simple answer.
