subjective. I dont like frost but LOVING blood and unholy and think they run far better than a lot of the trash specs in this game. lol
Dks definitely need some work, cause unholy dks have 2 spec areas where they have to put a point in for a ghoul…
No, it’s not subjective. Relative to other classes’ retention rates, Death Knight has consistently been falling in terms of playerbase interest even when it’s “meta” or “hot”. It’s been sitting on practically the same gameplay systems since Legion, just with a bunch of tacked-on crap hanging off the side of it.
I play most of the specs in this game. Blood is okay/good, but could be better in terms of where it fits in the design space. Unholy is a chunky clunky thing with a fragmented design intent and execution. It may be enjoyable to an extent, but apparently not enjoyable enough to keep people playing it over other classes.

Tweaking is fine. They should always be making things a little better.
its this ‘rework’ crap that makes me hate this game.
Just about the time you start enjoying it, they take a sledge hammer to it and most of the time its two years before they get it even close to playable again.
Just find something that works and stop ‘reworking’ it. Tweak it here and there, but leave the core of it alone.
Blood and Unholy are fine, just make some small changes that might be needed, but dont go taking a wrecking ball to it.

Blood and Unholy need more than bandaids. And Frost needs a whole hell of a lot more than bandaids.

How about this? I’m tired of newcomers to the class telling me that the class I’ve been playing since the day it came out is fine because it’s new and shiny to them. I think I might know a bit more about the class than the person who, per your own word, just got into playing it.

Maybe before they listen to anyone they should have a survey to find out just how many DK player actually want to have it wrecked and rebuilt.
Frost sucks in my subjective opinion, but Ive heard other players say the play frost and enjoy it MANY times right here on this forum. So Id never ask to have it run into the ground for my own personal subjective preferences.
Unless a clear majority actually hate the spec/class, leave it alone. Make small necessary changes as needed.
Right now, unholy and blood are a lot of fun to play.
IF they need tweaked for high end play, have at it.
If they feel sluggish or whatever…duh…its a plate wearer. Its not supposed to be a rogue in leather. its supposed to be a slower power hitter.
All I know is that WotLK was the last time I really played a Death Knight. Blood DPS was fun but not a thing anymore. And it hasn’t been for a looooong time.
They could be a lot better.

Regardless dks are not needing improvements based only on movement, they need updates on the talent trees, a lil rework here n there.
And they definitely need to get rid of one the ghoul stuff they have on both trees.
They don’t need two Perma ghoul minions on each tree!

You all know what the man is capable of when he gets going. Id prefer not having a class I just started enjoying get trashed because he’s feeling creative over some complaints about DK, lol.

I mean…my pet specs are GONE for hunter. Removed one of the greatest parts of the class where we could choose ANY pet in the game and make it our own.
