Better yet, why havent you talked about the 6 minute breaths that the sims are showing at times? Why just hype up 2h? If you cared to put out information as you said, why be so selective in the information that you give out?
The same could be asked of why do people care about 2h so much when the spec has been designed around DW.
I donât care which blizzard implements, or deletes. I do enjoy both aesthetically. Iâd be lying if I didnât say I preferred the (look) of 2H weapons, but when it comes to functionality of DPS (melee attacks) dual wield is more fun because more dmg.
The same argument is raging between shamans. Some want 2H, some say itâs stupid. Either way, youâre still a frost DK, and it more than likely doesnât effect you either way, so why do YOU care sooooooo much?
Enhancement wants 2h for the same reason that Frost does and for no other reason, big numbers on the screen. Its very shallow, worse mechanics, isnt designed for 2h weapons, doesnt play well with many talents.
I am for the spec, the spec is a DW spec and really the only 1h str based dps for DW. You might be able to argue fury, but it still goes 2h for DW.
Not to mention, you cant independently balance DW without nerfing MotFW if a scenario ever arises where 2h doesnt need any buffs, but DW does. And if that ever happens 2h players will do nothing but complain like they have this expansion.
There is a reason why these split specs were taken out of the game and it wasnt because of the artifact system.
You are right, and thatâs only because BLIZZARD decided. It has nothing to do with what YOU think frost should be. Just like it doesnât matter what I think Enhance, or shadow priest, or mage should be. The fact of the matter is that frost CURRENTLY has access to 2H, and DW. I donât care which performs better, but Blizzard brought 2H back for a reason. They didnât bring enhance 2H back, nor fury warrior 2H weapon (1, not 2 at the same time) , Only frost DK (and monk).
There must a reason for that, no matter what it is, itâs here, which should indicate that DW is not the ONLY option intended by blizzard for frost DKâs.

Yes, Blizzard decided way back in wrath that it was a DW spec, confirmed in an interview for cata explaining the reasons why they wanted a dedicated tank spec that frost was DW and removed 2h because these split spec specs were a nightmare to balance. Just go look at where frost was sitting in terms of spec balance compared to other specs. It was as bad as gladiator stance.
Why would fury use just one weapon? Also if we look at fury, and they brought back single minded fury, there isnt any real mechanical downside to bringing back single minded fury. Its DW vs DW the mechanics are the same. With monk as well the weapons are just stat sticks.
Enhance and Frost are completely different beasts with DW mechanics. What reason would Blizzard have to bring back 2h other than to just shut people up? I mean they gave them EVERYTHING that they asked for and they still complained all expansion in one way or another. âOur aoe sucks even though we asked for it to be Obliterate basedâ â2h doesnt have as many KM procs as DW fixâ âwe still dont have access to a second runeforge give us razorice!â
I called all this back in BFA. They just want to push and push and push until DW is gone, that is their goal because they dont like the spec.
Yes, its here, and it shouldnt be. Look at the bandaids that they applied and people still arent happy. Then you have people hyping it up, getting peoples hopes up, and then it flopping. Its happened all throughout this expansion. Ive read it all. So why should it stick around if people are just going to complain about it still? They should have just left it gone and worked on the spec. There is absolutely 0 reason why they couldnt have given high obliterate damage to DW and had that playstyle. Why didnt they do that?
So instead of complaints about having to get 2 weapons you need to get 3. DW for aoe and sustained st, and 2h for burst. What great accomplishments have been made, instead of making it easier to get weapons, the loot system was basically doubled and there is no way for people to actually target what they want. The vault is something that M+ has to deal with for the highest ilvl gear and they are at the whim of whatever weapon the RNG pulls out for them. So not only could you get a 2h when you need another 1h weapon, it could be bad stats as well. Or if you need a 2h, it could give you 1h weapons, with bad stats.
She cares because this has been her mission since bfa to keep frost dkâs dw and fighting anyone that thinks otherwise. No matter what this is the battle she is choosing to fight. No matter what this is her mission. Those of us that are tired of seeing it just put her on ignore and move on.
Its a DW spec, dont play a DW spec if you dont like it.

i still like the idea of frost being a weapons master that equips both a DW set and a 2H at the same time, gaining stats from all 3 and either switching between attacks or some sort of stance to swap between weapons. say something like rune OB dumps with the 2H and RP FS dumps using DW.
