Blizzard has revealed details of the first Hero class in World of Warcraft, the Death Knight.
They’ve emerged in an official chit chat with designers working on WOW’s second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, which will introduce the new class.
The Death Knight is a tank hybrid created to offer an alternative to the Warrior when building a group. Blizzard felt this role was essential in almost every scenario, so an extra class here was needed.
Specifically, Death Knights will focus more on attack than defence - but come equipped with taunting abilities so that they can maintain the attention of monsters trying to kill the rest of the group.
You won’t use a shield to soak up damage, but will dance theatrically with your enormous two-handed rune-blade as you decimate opponents.
Death Knights will also rely on a new rune system resource to power their attacks and spells, one separate to the existing mana, energy, and rage bars. But details on how exactly this will work are yet to be announced.

You mean talent trees and referencing multiple guides pre 3.2? Reddit has it, elitist jerks has it listed, the talent tree supports it.
Wow, you found an article or past forum post to support your narrative. Blizzard themselves in an interview said frost was DW. Also, if blizzard intended every spec to be 2h exclusively which you are trying to imply, they failed miserably right from the get go.
When talking about Blood going to tank and explaining their reasoning behind it. Blizzard themselves said
“Rather than have a strong focus, the trees felt a little watered down because they were trying to do so much. With frost as a dual-wield, spell and runic power focused tree, Unholy as a disease and minion focused tree, and Blood as a self healing, defensive cooldown, tanking tree, we think the focus of each tree is a lot clearer and cooler.”

Good to know that blizzard had a base idea of what the class would have, but according to your article you fished up, they didnt even know how they would introduce the class yet. They were still building the class. They were still building the class until 3.2 where some major changes took place.

I take it you guys are talking about me? Havent seen the posts where I say im a guy? I mean wouldnt it be sexist by todays standards to say if someone is acting a certain way, from your perspective, to be a certain sex? What does that say about what you guys do. Vedist just calls for me to be silenced. Should we all just attribute that to a certain sex? A certain political leaning? Extremism?

Yeah, I said just because you could, doesnt mean you should not only to DW unholy but also Blood. Frost could because early on it was spell based. The talent tree that I found points to that direction until after 3.2 when it became strike based. When Frost became strike based it got ToT way down in the tree sealing its fate as the DW spec. But before 3.2 DW Frost/Unholy picking up Howling Blast and Gargoyle was the best option. It was in a time when there wasnt a lot of armor pen and people were still trying to get hit and expertise so you could… you know… hit your target.
Whats your point though? Are you trying to say just because you could DW (even though the spec was designed for it) doesnt mean you should? Thats like saying you shouldnt use a knife to cut a steak, you know… a tool for cutting things. Its what it was designed for.
It was designed to be fast paced.

DW was and still is the knife, 2h was the spoon. Sure, you can sharpen the spoon, but its still a spoon. Dont use a spoon to cut the steak. And if you want to try to, dont complain about the spoon not being as good as the knife.
You wouldnt use a car as a boat would you? Sure, you can make a vehicle that can turn into a boat, but its not as good as a boat. It has to deal with the tires creating drag and not having the shape of the hull that a typical boat would have. Dont complain that it doesnt work as well as a boat that is purpose built for being on the water.
Just dont complain about it. Go wild with 2h Frost if you want, but dont complain about it. Is that so hard to do?

nope. see you’re still not admitting you’re wrong. just because dks were able to dw with their inception, doesn’t mean you was supposed to. dks were billed as the 2H welding hero class. everything was balanced on 2H specs. it was when the players started playing how they liked that dw’ing became a thing.
it’s ok; you can admit you was wrong… we all know this anyways.

The argument we should really be making is for them to bring back the most sublime dps spec to ever exist, blood, and turn frost into the tank spec. The way Arthas intended and a fitting tribute to his sad end.

Blizzard hates Arthas now. The current team didnt create him so they hate him and made everything the jailers fault, their created character. Its just almost everyone hates the Jailer and if this is how they are going to screw up the lore, let the Jailer rewrite reality. Whatever that means.
It’s fun to see big numbers from a 2h is why ppl were excited for it’s return. Not a difficult concept.
