This tells me that you are not a good tank if you are purposefully dropping aggro when there isn’t another actual tank.
As a warlock, no, I don’t. I do something else though! (I forget the name of the spell rn, but it’s the one that gives us shards and health lol)
I’ve seen many a great tank out play their gear. As a pretty good healer I’d encourage tanks to do dungeons that they are a bit low for and under geared. It was fun to take on that challenge for all the group. We all, dps included, had to play at the top of our game to do it. I leveled holy just so I had the healing power to do that.
People wonder why there is a “tank shortage” for PUG content…

A good hunter is amazing for this type of play because distracting shot and kiting for a few seconds can be used as a way to buy the healer time to top off the tank.
Was doing it last night vs beauty the corehound boss. Typically right after the fear as our group didnt have a way of reliably breaking the fear from tank or healer so we topped the tank off and i would kite boss right after fear so healer could catch up without dumping all of his mana.
It also works to give druid tanks time to shift out, innervate the healer, and go back into bear.
I speak for all DPS when I say we routinely forget it’s classic not retail every 30-45sec and think we will be fine but we won’t be fine. BRB gotta tab target that pack over there. Oh frick I forgot it’s not retail again.
gets my vote, I usually act accordingly as the healer too. You wanne pull and cant shake aggro? Well I hope you stocked up on healing potions or can heal yourself cuz I wont.
