We all know you were horrible DPS in WoTLK and I am sure a super bad Tank in Cata. You only moved to tank in hopes you’ll get more luck in groups - but alas, your true low skills will come out and you’ll be kicked from those.

day one heroics I wasn’t having to expand 70% of my mana every pull on the tank. Those that I did…were often very, very bad and weren’t using defensives or geared defensively.

Going to play devil’s advocate and speak up for the healers… How about you just get aggro and keep the run going instead of crying and letting the dps die. You stress the healers more and I’m a try hard who will keep that dps alive. Kick your ego to the curb and just do your job.

Considering how now even ret paladins have interrupts there’s no excuses now… not interrupting on heroics in the current state of gear is just as bad as tunneling mechanics and ask yourself why you’re dead later…

It makes the world of difference to interrupt/cc. People get used to others doing it though and are a bit surprised how quickly things go south when someone isn’t.

I generally wait until the end of their cast before I use Counter Spell, if I’m in melee I just wait untill I’ve finished a cast before I use Dragon’s Breath, same with Fire Blast with an Impact proc.
There’s better classes to interrupt than Mages but I do it when I can, melee typically have better interrupt CD’s than at least Mages.
I’m genuinely impressed when mages counterspell for me, especially when it comes to stacking mobs. I know it’s gonna slow down their damage but it goes a long way toward my sanity when I’m unable to do it or don’t want to risk getting close enough to rebuke/shielding other mobs near it.

When I’m in Vortex Pinnacle I just stand there and nothing if the tank leaves the mobs in the electric field. Even if other mobs are out if the Adepts (or whichever one heals) isn’t out, I’m doing nothing. This happens more times than you’d think.
