There are vocal, agitating commenters on these forums that are clinically psychopathological.
I find myself defending against a gang of Cluster B infantile bullies, narcissistic and sadistic trolls.
I tried reporting them to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, as I am quite defensive and morally righteous by disposition; I fell for it and now a painting contrary to reality has been painted over my character there, obscuring from the fact that I supported the rational side of the argument, provided plenty of explanation, and had a lot of support from similar others on the thread before.
A small group of ideology and anti-social psychopathology-driven bullies have hijacked the thread, however, and concentrated all their efforts on me. Some of them even went against their original arguments only to rally up behind the targeted agitation of myself, and even others as well.
I will try to ignore them. I understand that I probably should have, before, but I tried to shield reason in the thread and support the modern position (only to expose extremist and pushy socio-political commenters for being hypocritical about their own assumed positions, including the origins and patterns of their abusive behaviourā¦ and then receiving relentless post hoc and ad hominem attacks to no end, including those bordering on external platform āshame threatsā, of course designed to further capitalize on my fall to emotional counter-agitation)
This stretches over hundreds of comments, unfortunately.
I accept that I get too easily triggered, and that I should not participate in these forums again for my own good, or that of my brand.
With all that being said,
I would like to request removal of my forum content (and really have for a while), at least on said thread, and hopefully the spam and troll comments to my comments on that thread.
Is that possible via ticket? An appeal to senior support via the support site?

I had no desire for the discussion to escalate into argumentation or agitation.
My new desire, however, is to stop posting altogether.
My character name is also my channel name, and Iām worried about being trolled on other platforms as a result of the fact I fell for it here. I wish I could delete my activity there myselfā¦ But I suppose, at the very least, that my dealing with them and exposing their methodology on the long way out might help others better understand, avoid or deal with such deceitful personalities, tactics and narratives. At least, that is my hope.
If you Mute any post that you have comments on, you will no longer see that post nor receive any notifications of any comments in response to your participation in that post. Itās unlikely the Mods will remove your comments unless those comments break one or more forum rules but if you Mute them you wonāt be bothered by them.

Indeed, the trolls move onto other people as soon as I stop.
Again, I understand that I should deal with such personalities just as one would IRL - ignore them, and not create a cycle of conflict that only feeds their psychology and philosophy, reinforcing the online psychosis they create and contribute to. I shall mark this thread as officially solved so as to allow Support to focus on more pressing issues.
It is possible that when a Moderator reviews your posts they can wipe your post history and delete all your comments with one button press. They usually do that only when someone has extensively broken the forum code of conduct and their posts all need to be removed.

These policies certainly discourage people from participating in the forums, as I have been. This is my final comment, and I welcome that. I hope others will see that as a warning, that they in fact do not have freedom nor safety to speak and stand here. This culture, that allows the Troll type to not only go unscathed, but takes their sideā¦ How this has come about is utterly incomprehensible and disturbing. It does not do well for the game, the community nor the company.
No, you donāt have freedom of speech on private property nor is this forum a place to engage in discussion of politics or real world social ills. Freedom of speech allows you to speak out against your Government in public spaces- and Blizzard is not the Government.
You likely got reported for breaking the forum code of conduct by personally attacking and insulting other posters, picking fights, and causing thread disruptions.
Arguing against the fallacious logic and attacks of people who politicised the argument is exactly what I have done, until I was attacked on a personal basis.
I lament seing the selective approach to what has been uttered has also found its way here.

Is going to cause the community against you. These sort of comments does come down to trolling. If you donāt like people within the community being against you, donāt attack others in the community.
You, like everyone else, has to follow the Forum Guidelines, usually found within the āPlease readā topics pinned in each section, and the Forum Code of Conduct. Attacking people then coming to the Customer Support forums claiming of being attacked does not work in your favour when we all can see your post.
You need to next time, be respectful towards others, be mindful of opinions and post towards everyone, and follow the FCoC.
I would just like to point out that blaming people for standing against abuse and gaslighting is not particularly conducive to encouraging them to maintain their composure. Nor is it particularly impartial or objective, especially in the context of the entire argument and the fact that, in my example, incessant and rapid harassment by multiple individuals have led me to escalate, and return individual comments to individual agitators
(which I understand was a mistake).
This is exactly the same pattern of behaviour observed in cults and in technically infantile environments, which supports my analysis, as other commenters have seen and supported via their likes or like-minded comments pushing back on the group of trolls politicizing and tribalizing the issue to begin with (which have also been answered with similar bullying).

I therefore wonder, Whyā¦ have others in the subject thread, including those who explicitly violated multiple FCoC rules such as spam, TL;DR comment-bashing, religion and gender-based attacks and repeated/targeted harrasment, not receive any apparent scrutiny and punishment, let alone by appointees who are supposed to be impartial?
The thread has 15k comments, most of them being spam or trolling.
Things such as enacting double standards based on philosophical or political stances will dramatically affect participation and feedback from the community, as I alluded to above. The subject thread is ample evidence of how the increase in tribalism and lack of timely or fair moderation leads to an increase in negativity and criticism within the WoW community.

No, they canāt. These people are using the forum as basis for philosophical, political and religious activism to glorify their online egos and feel better about themselves.
They even chased me to a SUPPORT thread in which I ask to rectify my own comments as to stop their abuse.
Which they are being, by the way. 3 of them so far, as of writing this.
This is what you get for standing up to bullies. This cult/ure puts them at the top of its hierarchy.
This is losing the game subscribers, and painting a VERY bad picture of its community.
