Subject: Fastest Solo Priest Leveling GuideThe Zones
1-20: Starting Zone -> Barrens (h8@Silverpine). If you’re Alliance, I guess go to Westfall instead. Never been to Darkshore but I hear it sucks. I leveled a Paladin on the Honor Contest 1.10 PTR and Westfall was a great zone. Lots of good quests. You shouldn’t ever need to grind before 20. If you’re out of quests, do WC or VC. Never done VC as Horde, but there’s decent cloth loot there I think.
Hopefully, with the reference earlier by Traydrenna to the official strategy book https://archive.org/details/World_of_Warcraft_World_of_Warcraft_BradyGames_Official_Strategy_Guide/page/n9
, this will end the debate and knock a few players off their pedestal…
If he played vanilla back in the day good for him. But, here’s the thing, nobody called it VC back in the day.
So you know what? Money can make you look like you know better, when you don’t.
If that happened, it was a special case. Because that was not common at all.
Deadmines is DM, it was since day 1 since there was no Dire Maul then. No changes, right?
You’re just ignoring the facts at this point.
Diremaul didn’t exist originally.
People called deadmines DM.
People called diremaul by the cardinal directions.
Private servers called deadmines VC.
People claiming VC was common among vanilla players are full of it.
It’s called being a priv server baby.
People always refered to diremaul by cardinal direction because of how the dungeon was laid out. People didn’t call it DM, because it would be dumb to refer to it as that.
Yeah, no one would just say “LFG DM” and mean Dire Maul, you would always say which one you were doing. Thus it makes no sense at all to say VC since saying just DM makes it obvious you want Deadmines.
The strategy guides were garbage and had all kinds of wrong stuff in them. Seriously.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the source of “VC”. 2006 was the end of Vanilla wow. TBC was Jan 2007.
Arrogance, a lack of knowledge on the topic at hand, and a lack of openness to new information do not make for a great combination, friends.
