I queued for 8 heroics yesterday. 6 times i got deadmines, took the 30 minute debuff and did something else. I actually ran 2 dungeons.
I’m not doing deadmines. I simply won’t. I need valor points so “queue for specific dungeons” is not going to fix this. Also if you could add some wands to the game that would be nice, thanks.
You queued for 8 heroics, left 6 times because you feel entitled to a dungeon other than Deadmines even though it’s a random dungeon and now you complain that you only got to do 2 even though you queued into 8.
Just get it over with and then maybe you’d of done more of them, you waiting out the timer is how long it’d take to get one done anyway so you leaving is quite pointless.
You need Valour points so queue for random dungeons and don’t get mad when you get a dungeon you don’t like. It’s called Random Dungeon Finder, I don’t understand when people get mad to the point that they just straight up leave a dungeon, leaving the remaining 4 to either also quit or wait out for a replacement. It’s just so selfish and is just indicitive of this me me me mentality that I’ve seen more and more players adopt lately, thankfully though it’s not getting out of hand and that most people still have common courtesy in not leaving RDF groups.
Youd think someone with this guys mentality wouldnt need any more heroics for gear right? 5 of the 6 of my toons haven’t needed them since last week lol. Guys prolly left 50 of his last 52 heroic que’s because its not a 3 min heroic lol.
Its the principle of the thing. I’ve ran it enough times on my main to know its not worth it. Group falls apart. We wipe and people can’t find the way back to the instance portal. Its as long as Halls of Origination if you had to do all the bosses. And I don’t think cookie’s stirring rod has ever dropped for anyone in my guild.
I just don’t get the DM hate. It’s a lovely dungeon. It’s a very good remake, very fun and creative, plus it tickles the nostalgia bone. I’ve done about three runs so far. Of those runs we had one player ditch, a healer, right at the start but we got another right away and the run went smoothly. The runs average approximately 15-25 minutes depending the group. I think some people just like to parrot what they’ve seen on Reddit. Echo chambers gonna echo, that’s my take anyway.
I’ve seen it drop at least 4 times and I suspect your data is tainted since you blinders up about Deadmines… If you had 50 people tell you it dropped, you’d never admit to it…
Principles are great but so is the principle that I don’t waste my time. There is no principle you are standing on other than some made up nonsense of Deadmines is horrible. It is no worse or better than any others but at the end of the day, your “principles” are costing you time (regardless if you admit to it or not)
I mean, to each their own and all that, but yeah I have to agree with ya here; it’s a pretty decent dungeon, as far as dungeons go, and it’s fine. My only “gripe” if you could call it that is that I have yet to get the bracers I wanted from it! haha
I think some of the scripted fights, like the last boss in Throne of the Tides with the general inability to change the pacing, kind of like we had in Violet Hold tend to detract from replayability for some.
But TotT is a fast clear. Deadmines is a long drawn out clear… that you have to run through twice.
I would not hate it as much if it let you skip that “Poison” part once you’ve done it the first time. Or if the mini bosses at least gave you some justice or something.
The dungeon itself isn’t that bad. Its the amount of players who constantly drop while your running it. I don’t think I have ever finished Deadmines with the same people I started the dungeon with. Usually tank and/or heal drops at the start. Then if one person dies or isn’t doing enough dps a tank/heal will leave after first or 2nd boss fight. Its not really that long of a dungeon if people would just stay and use half a brain cell to do the mechanics.
BRC comes up on leveling lfg alot too. Even at for an 84 I prayed for lost city or grim. RNG said No, suffer. BRC again.
84 had me go something is amiss. I broke about 50% of the xp range…most of it BRC. thats like 4.5 million xp ish to get some variety. If RNG doesn’t hate you anyway.
Once I hit 83 I just form a Grim group and farm that for like 3 hours to get 85. No reason to dungeon Q anymore after hitting level 83. (Unless you can’t find a group to do Gim with).
I need my last hit of justice point reward to get the loom plate chest lol. For some reason I said lets have a real slow burner warrior to tinker on. Leveling paladin can use it for her wrath run to smooth it out too.
IRL scheduling had me go I can wait till Wednesday my time for ding lol.
