DC for 2 minutes and into a 3 hour queue?

Yo seriously, working all day and coming home to a 2 hour queue, i get that. but this DC when i was just on. Something has to be done. there are Multiple people with more than 1 account all logged in, with half the people just sitting afk. Now i cant play for 5 hours today because of a simple dc? Can someone please skip my queue to the front of the line or something? Make it so only 1 account is playable per IP address?? I dont know but this is complete BULL! If i cant play the game as well. Do i get any compensation??? of course not. what is going to be done about this. This is not the first time this has happened either, at least 5x. I really dont get it. the problem gets worse because no one wants to log out for a sec Best way to stay logged in? - WoW Classic / WoW Classic General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com) When will i hear back from someone!!! @blizzard

Unfortunately, no. Nobody gets a queue skip.

I thought that the game had a grace period for a fast DC that put you right back in front but I could be wrong.

No. That would prevent people who live in a home with others, a building with others, a school with others. That is not a rational solution.

The Queues are terrible, although “classic”. Servers have population limits based on how they are designed. If people want to play on a high pop server it will be swamped around release and patch days. When people are no longer interested the queues will die down. I am afraid that is how WoW has always worked. Not ideal, but unless they change everything it is how it works.

I really need to hear from someone about this Please - Support / Customer Support - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com) This was the cause of the DC im not sure you could direct me to where i could find a solution?

The error code you got is unique to you. Blizzard does have that error code and any logs that were sent from your PC to them.

You can post your request on the Tech Support forum if you wish. That is not staffed 24/7 but you might get a reply sooner than the current week wait time on a ticket.

Copy your message here

the DC was caused from the last boss of Old kingdom when he used the ability insanity. not sure why but every time it does that it happens. 2D589536-1307-4810-A1C5-21E-EA2E6F0F is the report ID i recieved. i do have a snap of it which i would have posted had there been a way i knew to include it

You can put screenshots on a free hosting site like imgur. To post the link you would copy and paste it into your message. Then, highlight it and use the preformatted text button which looks like this </>. That gives a link people can read and copy/paste to their browser.

HMMM ill think aobut that

There has to be a way that blizz can block the game once one copy of it is already opened.

I might be missing something… You got a crash error.

The default behavior for the Bnet launcher is that you can’t log into the game from more than one PC at a time. Someone else trying to log in to your game licence will kick you offline.

Then you need to do a full security sweep. You are not allowed to share your license with anyone except one minor child you are the legal guardian of.

Or maybe I misunderstood…

No i mean, 1 computer can only run one copy of the game, preventing people from alt tabbing between their secondary accounts running on the same computer

Clearly you haven’t been watching the queue very well, there’s constantly people jumping to the front of the line.

“You can uncheck the dogtag option in Icehud config, and it fixes it. I had same issue.”

i use this addon and found this fix

No, these are not “classic” queues. Servers, back in the day, did not have 8 hour queues.

Population limits based on bottlenecks in the code. We are well beyond the “classic” pop limits. These pop limits have also been extremely mishandled.

Due to either indifference or incompetence, servers that had healthy sustainable populations have become overloaded. Did the original inhabitants of Sulfuras choose to have queues? Hell, even most of the transfers to Sulfuras were trying to avoid queues. And look what they got for it: queues. Again.

These queues should not just be waved away as a transitory problem caused by player behavior. Queues are an issue that this company could have done more to prevent, and something they could be doing more to solve, but they choose not to.

i dc allot and able to log right back in its like a 5 to 10 minute grace period. i have enough time to reboot my PC as well

Do you have any discussions on fixing the issue of remote logins, people who skip queues by using a 3rd party application to sit afk in one spot for hours at work while thousands who are ready to play can’t play.

MVPs and Council folks are other players. They do not work for Blizzard. They don’t speak for, or represent, Blizzard.

I am sitting on my couch after a very long day working on painting the deck. I am retired. I have no idea what Blizzard has in mind.

Did you alt-f4 by any chance?

I heard if you are stuck in either the loading or reconnect screen after DC, alt-f4 will lose you the spot.

Nah people claiming there is always a grace period is flat out ignoring the exception to the rule.

There have been multiple times I was kicked off the game “disconnected from server”, while I was literally fighting a mob or running a dungeon.

This has never, ever happened to me until the que complaints.

We can probably just chock this up to simple coincidence, or not. But I have had people dc randomly and also -not- get the grace period and stacked right into the 12k que
