SL wasn’t better than DF, that doesn’t mean I said it was a bad expansion considering I’ve made it clear I think DF is the best WoW expansion it’s ever had

All I’ve heard is people complain about Dawntrail’s story, but also people tell me FF14 is only really good if you enjoy the story. Why should I play FF14 if they messed up it’s one good feature?

No it’s not.
I love FF, but I dont think I can say comparing wow and FF really works. I play FF for its take on raiding and the story. I play wow for PvP and Mythic+. With that being said, I dont think Dawntrail or TWW is anything special in the broad scope of either games expansions. Id even go so far as to say Dawntrail was too predictable storywise for me to immerse myself which is a major flaw in the expansion as a whole for me. Patch content is what dictates how good or bad an expansion is anyways. Many thought dragonflight was awesome at first, but it definitely went downhill, and that’s how most wow expansions go. FF expansions for me are the opposite.
WoW gave me delves so I’m pretty content. My time will be heavily split next Friday tho.

I agree. Dawntrail has a poor narrative.
The only reason I’m not playing it is because WoW is superior in the class design department. Nowadays, I don’t worry about homogenization when I pick up something new. Everything feels different.
At the same time though, many things are wildly imbalanced and it bothers me. I play Evoker at 3K M+ rating currently and unless I roll Aug, I’m not taken.
Devastation is an absolute mess and it sucks to live in Augmentation’s shadow. This kind of wild imbalance is not present in FFXIV.
I want FFXIV’s tuning and tech stability with WoW’s unique class / spec design (build diversity).
