They why are you in the retail section of the forums? Go back to pushing one button for 60 levels 
They can’t introduce tier set bonuses because their endgame progression is split into two sets of gear, those being tomestone gear and raid drops. You’d have to create a set bonus that can be obtained through any combination of gear from either set. One might be tempted to mention artifact sets, but putting set bonuses on those would be a bad idea.
The job fantasy issue has been hit or miss. Aside from their job paradigms being a mess (designing tanks like they were DPS with defensive cooldowns, or the ongoing debacle with healers), you have instances where they go too much into a gimmick just because it was in a prior game in the series. The reason I don’t play that game anymore was because I hate how they implemented Red Mage, since they fixated on Dualcast without giving a damn about the sword that comes with the job; put in WoW context, the way SE approached RDM’s design would be like if Blizzard had decided to make enhance shaman a lesser clone of elemental instead of its own thing.
Because it’s funny watching you people mald out over nothing lol.
This is something that I hope they take risks on. Shame that they don’t have a modicum of the build freedom that WoW provides (which to be fair is still quite limiting).

Classic doesn’t pretend to champion class and spec diversity.
Modern WoW is a meta tainted circle jerk.
Tastes are subjective of course. I think retail is in the best place it’s ever been overall TBH. Sure there’s a bit more bugs than usual, but m+ is better, the story is better, the content cadence is better. Overall, retail is in a very good place.

It is kind of weird how disgustingly broken classic is and how popular it is. Half the specs dont even work. Yet people love it.

As someone who loves to play FF14 on occasion, I have to respectfully disagree with that opinion. 14 normally has my attention for a good while when new expansions release, but this time I just couldn’t even finish the MSQ. I will one day, but not because I like the story in Dawntrail.
I’ll play it again when some content that piques my interest releases, but until then its just the same. Exact. Song and dance that it’s always been. Their devs are going to have to do better with future releases, because right now it’s just not it.

If you log into the game, you might immediately crash in Dornogal due to the broken tech. That’s one right there.
I also listed multiple other instances of the game being garbage from a quality standpoint in the OP.

This is all true. While it’s the same thing that most come to expect, it’s stable and it works. Attention to detail in delivering a feature complete product.
That’s why it’s better.
