While I’m not a huge fan of the dungeon style itself, it’d be far more tolerable without all the bugs.
The playstyle is annoying to some, and that’s simple personal preference. But the things that are broken in it is what is drawing the most ire.
There are going to be a lot of bricked keys due to core dungeon bugs, and there are going to be classes that are straight up locked out of doing high M+ because we can’t even use major CDs on some of the bosses.
Dawnbreaker probably one of my favorite dungeons. Once you know the route it’s not a big deal. And it helps to switch to stable flying for the city part if you don’t know where to go and/or aren’t competent with sky flying.
And then 6 of them agree, so it becomes the “community’s” opinion.
Or a 30 min timer on BRD M+
I think Shrine of the Storm is worse.
Once you kinda get the hang of what to do and where to go, the dungeon isn’t that bad.
it’s also a bit shorter than some of the other dungeons, like SoB.
The ships movement while flying make be nausious lol.
If the ships were still, probably wouldn’t cause that.

I ran it once on follower for the quest I will probably never run it again

Once I figured it out, it was just an annoying dungeon. I put it on par with the Occ mechanics and the Mysts maze. Not bad per se, just annoying. The worst M+ I’ve done was the train one from WoD when everyone is getting hit by artillery and there’s no space to move apart.

On mythic the second boss doesn’t waltz around the city, so its much easier to organize your landings and pulls.
That said, it is AWFUL to run this in an unexperienced pug. If the tank can’t lead the team thru the city section, the run is over
It doesn’t bother me. I’ve done it to the point where everything is just 2nd nature to me. I really don’t know jack about the fight mechanics in this dungeon I just know what I need to do when the time comes around so I don’t piss off anyone else.
For example:
1st boss… fly out of big shadow ball.
2nd boss… fight mechanics unknown, just dps it down.
3rd boss 1st phase… throw barrels at it and make sure green wave goes away from group
3rd boss 2nd phase… same thing with green wave this time dps boss down til he flies away.
Pretty simple.
As a healer I just ask that the orb gets baited to go downhill and explode as far away from the group as possible. Thank you!
Oh, didn’t realize there were orbs being shot out. Been doing these dungeons on warp speed with insane tanks that want to face pull half the dungeon in 1 go.
Big purple ball, kind of can’t miss it. It’s like getting hit by a bowling ball.
Compared to Oculus pugs back in the day, this is nothing.

Pretty much impossible to do it with followers, so don’t bother and just queue for it.
A very disappointing dungeon either way. It fails because the designers forgot one thing: “Keep it simple, stupid.” Dungeon is a prime example of gimmick content.

It is. And it’s in YET another weekly quest trying to force people in the dungeon, rofl.

I don’t get designing dungeons for an MMO where you spend 20+ minutes and kill basically nothing.
Like in Dawnbreaker you kill… 7 packs of mobs total? 7 packs and 3 bosses and it still takes 20 minutes?
It’s an MMO. I’m in the dungeon to be in combat, to fight/kill stuff. Not to fly around in circles for 20 minutes.
Same problem with City of Threads. The entire dungeon is designed around mounting up and running a marathon while avoid 99% of the mobs.
I might s well play Assassin’s Creed

These outdoor areas Blizzard tries to etsy steampunk upcycle into a scenario dungeon always turn out to be stinkers.
I wish they’d cut it out.
