YES, I don’t wanna hear any “OnLy dEMoN HuNtErs ShOulD uSe GlAiVeS.” Most Troll Glaives don’t even look like DH glaives and they’ve been using them longer, plus it’d be purely cosmetic.

Problem is almost every heritage set has a horrendous helm.
That shouldn’t be the case. People should want to wear the entire heritage armor set.
For instance, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone wearing the void elf heritage helm because look at how ugly it is:
Both of these sets are objectively better without the helm and shoulders, much like many heritage sets, and that shouldn’t be the case.
People are allowed to expect the entire set be good.
Seems like a lot of pearl clutching for a minor thing. If you have a better helm, wear it.

Exactly, Vol’Jins Glaive is a little DHesque and one of the Shadowhunter models from WC3 has another but these concepts existed for Trolls before DHs. I’d be pumped if they added a glaive like the one that Rokhan is holding, basically a double sided sword, or the double bladed Kukri like the other WC3 models. There’s like 4 or 5 different glaive models for trolls and I’d love to see atleast one added.
Don’t get me wrong each of the items looks good and it looks like Troll armor that I’d be happy to see in game, but nothing special even compared to older mogs already in game. The mask and back are the only unique pieces both of which were executed rather poorly. The mog overall doesn’t really look like the Shadowhunter mog from WC3 which they’re clearly trying to capture and maybe it shouldn’t considering how basic some of the features were due to graphic limitations, and all creative liberties taken didn’t make it cooler, they actually made it less cool.

Telling someone to “find another one” is telling them to stop posting their opinions and just accept the helmet is final. Even though it’s a PTR where things are still being tested and quite literally aren’t final.
Feedback on the PTR is literally what the PTR is for.

I don’t think I have anything similar to those shoulders, chest, legs, etc. And if you notice, the chestpiece is missing in the second coloration on females. Seems to me the work isn’t complete.
the frick is that armor?? it looks like some bootleg tauren-rogue set, not a troll set. i was expecting something like vol’jin had, not… chunks of wood and feathers. it barely looks troll-y at all!

No it isnt. Also, im very against thr Draenei set. I dont have a take-what-youre-given attitude. But also, that troll set is amazing. And while i dont like the helm either, its salvageable.
It’s not based off Vol’jin. It’s based off his dad, Sen’jin, and other Witch Doctor characters from WC3.
but senjin and those old witchdoctors wore armor that we’ve already got (the mail set from zul’gurub/zul’aman) this stuff just… does’nt look right to me.
the only troll-y things about it, are the kneepads (which look half-baked), and the one shoulder (which looks more like something an orc/troll hybrid would wear).
it does’nt really scream ‘jungle-troll outfit’ as much as just… horde outfit. god forbid they have like, tiki-mask shoulders and stuff…

I love the concept of the Wooden mask upper half with the Sen’Jin/Zul’Jin reminiscent hanging cloth mask, but the nose should not be covered and when you look at it from the side, it should go around the tusks and cover the jaw as well, right now it looks like it’s just clinging to the nose and mask. The wooden part of the mask is boring too. Too short, and not asymmetrical enough like the other wooden Troll masks in game. An option to have 1 or the other would be cool too, personally I love the mix.

They didn’t wear armor. Witch Doctors were caster units and wore robes.
Looks pretty Troll-ish to me. All the artwork I’ve found of Sen’jin and witch doctors have similar looks to them with the wooden parts. Maybe remove the metal banding around it and it’ll match better?
I think it makes sense for there to be some Horde themes included since the Darkspear are much closer to their Orc and Tauren allies than they are with their Gurubashi cousins, who drove them from Stranglethorn Vale in the first place. They are, after all, one of the original three founding races of Thrall’s New Horde.
I’m hoping the mask is just poor or no rigging right now and will be fixed. Because it just looks like a bird beak. I would never put this on my Trolls.

It definitely looks trollish but it lacks a lot of the components that would take it from basic too cool. Although the cloth section of the mask is definitely taken from Sen’Jin and other Witchdoctors, the primary inspiration for this set comes from the WC3 Shadowhunters and Rokan with a splash of Vol’Jin thrown in there. Unfortunately it’s missing a lot of the attributes from their models that actually made them unique. (I love the mask concept, but it needs work).
The back piece is their Race Symbol minus the extra rigging on the top with the smaller masks and voodoo adornments.

Been playing around with the armor in WoWhead, put my own spice on it and managed to come up with something I think looks pretty decent for my Hunter.

I still think the mask needs work, when you look at it front on it looks great, as soon as you turn to its side, different story.
