I saw the first one you linked yesterday, I think it was? It looked pretty good, shouldn’t really need to mix and match so much for it to be good but what you came back with was solid. Mask still needs some work. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah I don’t like it either. Looks worse than any of the BFA or Cata Troll armor themed sets.

My thought’s exactly the Voodoo stalker and Rattlin bone sets are both cooler, even Tarnished Fanatics, there are a couple color variants but how is it it’s 2024 and the Heritage Armor looks so plain?

The heritage sets have really dropped off. The Troll and Draenei sets are just BAD.

I’ve been wanting more troll swords in game for a while but heritage wise they aren’t really known for their swords. It is pretty cool but a Troll Glaive should have been the obvious choice. After they chickened out of giving Night Elves Moon Glaives I guess I’m not surprised. The double sided Kukris and or double short sword troll glaives look nothing like DH glaives so I see no logical reason not to slip one in.

I still use the Troll Protector to these days on my Shaman Troll. 
It’s meant to be a regular race armor, which the Darkspear Trolls lack. The armor is absolutely fine and represents the actual race you see on artworks.
I like the troll heritage armor. To me it’s not that bad. Not going to use the hat but I noticed the hat is hideous on a lot of heritage sets (velf, DID).
However, I will admit that maybe the reason the set looks good to me is I seen the Draenei set first.
I am a huge troll enthusist and this looks terrible.

Same here been maining Trolls forever this is a poorly executed pishposh of concepts from WC3. I don’t mind it being much of a pishposh but they took creative liberties and failed to produce something cool. It looks plain even when compared to concepts from over 19yrs ago in WC3.

I have been a fan of the Darkspear since WC3. My first max level in Vanilla was a Darkspear Rogue (though if Blood Elves were available that would have been my choice).
I think this heritage set is very uninspired. It looks like random pieces put together. The mask is… noticeable, and not in a good way. The best thing about this armor is the little knee cap with the troll design.
They could have done a lot better. Ah well.

I can’t imagine whoever designed this set has actually played a Darkspear Troll or ever set foot in a Troll village. Piles of skulls everywhere.

The Darkspear are cooked. They used to be a cool tribe that revered a dark demi god Bwonsamdi… now they’re all going to praise The new loa of dying to trash mobs (kings) and become more light centric race.

Did you know the Undead Racial “Cannibalize” was originally meant to be a Troll Racial? The Darkspear have always been the most hardcore, but years of bad writing has us reduced to Zappy boi and that dead Warchief…. This 10.2.7 Heritage quest chain is going to dictate the identity of the Darkspear going forward and tbh if they don’t bring back Vol’Jin and keep him off the back burner and or do some dark Voodoo stuff it’s R.I.P

A big part of troll lore was moving past their dark history.
I am not at all saying stop the voodoo an stuff but they used to be as hardcore as you are saying but they horde put a stop to their cannibal practices, second class woman laws and sacrifices.

I liked the lore at the beginning of BFA where Zandalari were more light centric and snobby while the Darkspear were more dark focused and down to earth tribalism.
I’ve for years have spoken out about how terrible the Troll race is being dragged towards and this will definitely be the nail in the coffin…i might as well race swap all my troll characters to something else

You know to add more to this … sorry lol… but like both the Draenei and the Troll heritage armors look just slapped onto the female models without a care about how it actually fits them or looks on them. These images are based off of drawings or designs of male characters. With the huge differences between the female and male bodies… it ends up looking boring and lame on the females. Ugh ok rant over. lol
