Skulls and shrunken heads would’ve implied witch doctor and, agree or not, “witch doctor” is considered a racist trope in a lot of circles these days. Just gonna have to let that part of the trolls go. 
Maybe from a perspective that doesn’t respect actual cultural heritage, as an actual Haitian woman I would have felt more seen if they’d emphasize this part of Troll culture more often. Excluding this is actually worse, by gutting the Troll heritage they’ve taken the only homage we have in this game.

Yeah avoiding culture is not the answer to respecting culture, the Trolls are BadAZZ and their culture is what makes them so unique and special! Blizz did them a grand injustice.

Exactly! I’ve always felt drawn to the Darkspear culture because it is shared with my own, for them to under represent it feels worse not better.

Yeah they didn’t really do anything voodoo at all with it. I noticed they put a rather expensive voodoo doll pet on the Trading post… blah.
