Enhancement shaman had in MoP I believe a skill that looked like he was throwing a weapon.
And I was pretending I was axethrower. xD
Warriors have Heroic Throw and there’s a glyph that changes the thrown weapon to your transmog weapon. Attack does minuscule dmg but once in a while you nail the killing blow on a fleeing enemy and it’s super satisfying.
Would be really cool if they’d add thrown weapons to the game again, it’d go a long way toward expanding class fantasy.
Could make it a glyph for Survival hunters to use a thrown weapon instead of a hand crossbow.
Dont forget we got a lame two handed sword when we shouldve gotten an updated two bladed polearm like the one rohkan uses
Yup, doesn’t even make sense Trolls aren’t known for their swordsmanship, a glaive would have made waaaaayyy more sense, it was literally THE obvious direction. This set just missed free win after free win.
There’s just no way whoever designed the set was a Troll enthusiast by any capacity otherwise they’d have known this stuff.
My hopeful self actually thought they’d be giving us that one. I’d have preferred the Glaive Rokhan uses in WC3 R. Thing is amazing.
And if not glaive then some nice looking spear that could also work as staff. But I’d like glaive the most. Trolls have very sleek and elegant glaives, more so than those DHs are using.
Vol’Jin has a cool spear, a spear would have been fine. A Glaive would have absolutely been the obvious choice thought, there’s like 5 different glaives to choose from too there was no reason to do the set this dirty.
They’re completely different from the Demon Hunter glaives so there should have been no problem. Vol’Jin in the Siege of Orgrimmar doesn’t even use a DH style Glaive stance he just wields his like a sword. They wouldn’t need to make any fancy new attack animations or transmog slots or anything they could have just labeled it a sword and called it a day. Failure to deliver.
Apparently the back piece clashes really badly with shields, like it doesn’t register as a shield making your shield invisible when inactive like some other back pieces so you just look ridiculous.
Standing on the shoulders of the giants who built the franchise and farting all over their work. #FREETHENOSE
“Do not trust to hope it has forsaken these lands…” I was hopeful for the set and questline too, look where that got us.
That’s all I would have needed to hear to take the easy win. It was a free win! they could have won for free! The asset for Rokhans Glaive is already in the game, they could have recolored it and presto changeo free win instead of making some sword.
When I think about it, this new questline actually reminds me more of the Reclamation of Echo Isles event.
-
Vol’Jin had to appease Bwonsamdi becuase ever since Darkspears lost them, their worship of Bwon has waned. So Vol’Jin had to apologise and make amendmends
-
we had to deal with the Darkspear traitor that defied Bwonsamdi, and intended to harm the tribe and di some foul magic while doing so
-
immunity shield on Zalazane/female witch doctor that only Loa can penetrate. In Event it was Bownsamdi directly who removed said immunity, in this questline it was player who removed Totems of Muehzala.
-
event was mostly there to boost the popularity of Darkspear Cheiftain and put him on the major trials.
So in case with Trolls WE’RE STUCK WITH THE SAME STORY, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, ON INSANE LOOP.
And really after checking the draenei quest it truck me that Draenei had to unite with multiple groups including Man’ari - the most irredeemable people in the universe.
And yet the questline doesn’t throw a bone to other troll tribes, it outright condemns them.
But Other Troll tribes’ fault was that they wanted to protect their homelandfor most of the time. I can count on fingers of my one hand examples when trolls were causing touble outside of their domain.
Seeing the support for the darkspeae warglaive warms my heart after years of begging for it. Glad im not alone and theres a ton more people advocating for it. Hopefullt they take the hint like they did with giving night elfs everything they wanted!
When you put it like that it you’re right the plots are suspiciously similar. Not only that but maybe it would have been nice for a change if the plot wasn’t “THE ECHO ISLES ARE UNDER ATTACK AGAIN”. Really does just feel like we were hung out to dry.
The two events were really similar but of a rinse and repeat. I need to go back and do it again if it’s still available as a refresher.
At least trolls have very good explanation on why they didn’t rebuild further their home - it’s literally constantly under attack. Guys cannot catch a break.
