Like Shadowlands would have been perfect to introduce them however and they’re just not there in game in any sense.

According to the San’layn thread, some youtuber for WoW thinks Dark Rangers will get something. One of the bigger ones. Talesin (too lazy to look up if that’s how to spell their name) .

There seems to be a brief look at upcoming Shadowlands content taking place tomorrow:
“The next World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Content Update will be unveiled soon. Catch an exclusive glimpse at the latest chapter in the WoW saga this Thursday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m. PST, right here on worldofwarcraft com and on YouTube. See you there!”
While I’m not sure what to expect, if anything Dark Ranger related gets shown off, I’ll be sure to help report anything of interest.

I’d temper expectations.
I kinda expect they’ll just reveal another zone and a general overview of where the Jailer has gone next.
Though the Azeroth map in the background is interesting…

Given this expansion as a whole, tempering expectations would be a wise thing to do in general. I don’t really know what all to expect for the rest of this expansion to be honest.
As for the map, it may just be a general header used for articles in general and may not have much significance. Although, to be honest, seeing the Jailer and Maw forces invade different areas like Northrend and such would be interesting, I will admit.
Guess we’ll see what gets shown off tomorrow.

I’m hoping for a few new customizations.
And seriously, red and green options for eye color on death knights would be great.
Even better if they can unlock the dead skins on all classes for blood elves + red eyes and a smidgen of lore to go with it.
This character used to be my night elf warrior; I deleted her and rerolled as a death knight during War of Thorns and while I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled to have black eyes and a dead skin for her, other death knights should get the luxury of choice. And, you know, I might be tempted to go red if it was a choice…

I’m determined to keep my chin up. If the whole void elf thing proves nothing else, it’s that Bliz will go for the low hanging fruit. And red eyes would be really, really easy. They’re already on worgen, dark iron and undead and look perfect (as well as, you know, the pre-existing assets). Though I’d love to see the Lichfire effect. But red.

Edit: Sadly not the case. Wish everyone here the best of luck getting Dark Ranger customization & lore in the future. Giving my farewell for now indefinitely, unless the council thing ends up happening. Fingers crossed for a .5 patch or 10.0.

As I said in the San’layn megathread, if I weren’t leading the charge for playable Ogres and Saurok on the Horde, I’d likely have quit and skipped Shadowlands entirely. So I completely understand how you feel.
The good news is that Shadowlands seems to be ending, and that we can move on past it to something hopefully better. Expectations are tempered, of course, but there are some interesting rumors. Whatever the next expansion is, I would hope that we’d see Dark Rangers get some love and attention, seeing as there are plenty still part of and loyal to the Horde.
It’s going to be a long wait, however, and who knows what’ll await us in the future. Regardless, there is part of me keeping a small bit of hope that is keeping me going, at least for now.
…still wondering if the undead threat that will totally destroy everything we know and love without a Lich King will get addressed at all. < - <

It feels like they’re using the potential of getting what we want as a carrot on a stick to lead us into the next expansion. Then we realize there’s no carrot and we’re dumb for believing again.

I wanted to take out a few moments to bring both this thread and the San’layn thread back to the top of the current threads because of how quiet they have been these last few days due to so many people feeling super discouraged about 9.2 and that makes me really sad, especially since I know that many of us are still waiting for playable Dark Rangers as either a separate Allied Race or unique customization options for Blood Elves. 
Therefore here’s yet another request from me for playable Dark Rangers as an Allied Race for the Horde or at least unique customizations for Blood Elves.
Also here’s some hugs for anyone who wants or needs them because as I said I know a lot of you aren’t feeling super positive about WoW right now so.
