Agreed because in my book it’s always Blood Elves and Nightborne before well everyone else despite playing many other races. 
Been in a screenshot taking mood lately, so I wanted to do something with Dark Rangers that I have done with other races in their megathreads.
I used the Dark Ranger illusion toy to take this screenshot. This isn’t perfect, but this is what I came up with:
"A Dark Ranger stares at Orgrimmar in the distance in deep contemplation. The Dark Rangers have served the Banshee Queen for so long, only to have her turn her back on her people. He starts to feel as if his purpose for being has all but disappeared.
He then considers the oath he took to protect Silvermoon when he was alive. He remembers all they had fought for and the long road they traveled to survive. He then feels purpose once more, and begins to feel anger towards Sylvanas for her actions and betrayal.
No longer shall the Dark Rangers be controlled. They shall create their own destiny instead of being pawns of the Traitor Queen. Within the Horde, they have comrades who will welcome them, and with their undeath, another chance is given to continue to fight for Silvermoon and help their fellow Blood Elves against whatever threats that would dare to attack them.
With newfound determination, he leaves to gather his bow and arrows to fight as champion of the Horde and Silvermoon. He vows to never turn his back on his people as the Banshee Queen did."
As I said, far from perfect. Just wanted to share some inspiration I had to help support Dark Rangers.

This is beautiful and reflects the turmoil and anguish the dark rangers must be feeling after their queen, who they looked to for purpose and guidance, the very queen they wholly devoted themselves to, forsook them. She was the face of the forsaken and now she’s gone there’s the pain of betrayal, the anger, and the loss in direction that has yet to be properly addressed in game.
Many of these rangers fell with Sylvanas the day Arthas attacked Quel’thalas. Her betrayal shattered the new identity they first adopted in undeath and left them to pick up the pieces. So now the dark rangers and forsaken have to reforge their culture, their beliefs and move on after the trauma of someone they entirely believed in throwing them away.
Your writeup addresses all the current issues Dark Rangers should have and expresses how they would feel while giving them a new sense of purpose. If altered this could make a good Dark Ranger race/class intro.

This is my once in awhile obligatory request for Dark Ranger character customizations for Blood Elves since we still don’t have them, many of us still want them and it would add something that separates us completely from Void Elves which currently has two different character customization themes one of which is shared with us.

I’ve wanted them for years. People screamed “no more elves” “no” “Dark Rangers are hunters.” I’ve never seen a hunter turn into a banshee or use any of the spells Sylvanas uses in the SoD raid and HotS. Dark Rangers are extremely easy to differentiate from hunters as they have strong themes of undeath and shadows, utilizing shadow magic and necromantic abilities.
DRs are also distinct in that they have origins as a hunter, but no longer use nature magic and had to unlearn those teachings. The history behind them is distinct. I get mocked all the time for supporting Dark Rangers in any form. Now I have people trying to deny me something so simple as red eyes and undead skin.

Also popping in to toss more support for Dark Rangers. I sincerely hope we get more lore for you folks, and customization, too. I think there’s really good potential for expansion in general of the lore, especially with some of that hidden quest stuff.
