Wanted to wish the Dark Ranger megathread a happy Halloween to those who celebrate it!
Still rooting for y’all! Dark Rangers are a part of the Horde, deserve representation and a presence in-game, and would make for some wonderful customization options. With luck, they may be able to enjoy the festivities of Hallow’s End someday!
Hopefully, we’ll see them become champions of the Horde in the near future!

Keyboardturner/Simaia and the Lost Codex had posted more regarding their class skin idea.
The first iteration focued on paladins but this newer addition is more about general class skins, but applying to groups of classes with a common theme.
There’s a section that covers Dark Rangers, which in their idea is applied to the classes of Rogue, Hunter, and Death Knight. The reddit page expands on things more fully.
Since I posted about it over on the San’layn page, I figured I should drop it in here as well.
It’s a great write up and would be a fun addition to the game.

You’d think the literal death/afterlife expansion where they touted character customization as one of the major selling points would’ve been a goldmine for new undead options (and I mean for both Forsaken and Blood Elves).
When fans and players can make mock-ups of character options that would be beyond amazing and Blizzard can’t even untick a simple ‘npc only’ box to make a lot of players happy in a time when they desperately need to be making more players happy…
No kidding. I kept hoping maybe they were planning something like Diablo 3…get the expansion out the door and then come back with another smaller expansion pack that added maybe Necromancers and Dark Rangers as they fit the theme of the expansion really well. That’d have been great.
Yep, I’d love the stuff added that Simaia and Lost Codex have been putting together. It’s another great layer of customization and includes a LOT of stuff players have been asking for.

You have no idea how badly I want to respond to them, though I know they’re just trolling.
Don’t think I’ve given support to this thread yet, but here’s hoping that dive into this as a racial theme similar as they did the Night Warrior. Seems like an easy flavor to add for BEs.
Yes! A Night Warrior-esque questline to earn Dark Ranger customizations would be awesome. I’m not really hard to please on this issue. It’s kind of strange they don’t just toggle the options on for playable blood elves. Thanks for your support.
