This. Many races have a lot of cross over themes and I don’t see why folk shouldn’t be able to go for any one of them.
Even with blood elves you can fit some death in there with Dark Rangers depending on how you land on the Forsaken/Blood Elf bit.

I didn’t say they shouldn’t. I just don’t like it when people push that as the only option to reflect in customization or that the Blood Elves epitomize the light. Blood Elves (and all races) are multifaceted and I agree that they should have access to all of their magical themes.

I agree with you.
Blood Elves no longer have the Dark Ranger exclusivity since the Night Elves joined them.
I was agreeing with you that they should get to display more then one theme.
I could have worded it better.
Also this is one of the reason Rune Tattoos/Scarifications would be a great addition, you can tie them to any magic.
Mix that with additional red eyes and selectable gem colors you would get a huge range of themes.

Really if you think about it, when Nathanos got his new body and started train undead dark rangers, they stopped being exclusive to blood elves.

That’s true, magic can scar the body the same as weapons and can be just as apparent.
Imagine silver metal with black gems or black metal with red gems on a dark ranger. The last time I knew, the textures on Blood Elf jewelry was white on the PTR. Not sure about now, but that could imply changes.
I hope trolls get their beards and everything else they deserve. They should have gotten so much more than what they did.

No biggie, I tend to speak in these weird cut of sentences.
Arcane Runes, Fel Runes, Blood/Red Runes, Light Runes, all the Runes!
Gold/Rose Gold/Copper/Black/Silver at MINIMUM.
And Red/Blue/Green/White/Purple/Orange Gems!
Also Ombré hair.
Also Makeup with Phoenix and Dark Ranger styles.

So. many. missed. opportunities.
Death was such a big thing in the lore for ages… we have an entire playable race that is dead…
Yet none of those things are getting their strings tied or participating.

Not only that. Shadowlands has essentially made death in the Warcraft universe have no meaning while at the same time proving the beliefs and religions of many races to be false. I might be being histrionic when I say this, but Shadowlands has definitely damaged Warcraft lore beyond repair or at least made it insanely difficult to fix it. Sometimes I think a reboot would be best. Bring us right back or before WoW.

i wish the void won. shadowlands was a horrific vision and void elves were just a part of that nightmare. then we could have gotten san’layn or forsaken elves

Fine we can shift what Mag said to that Horde should have gotten Void Elves as the Blood Elf Allied Race and Alliance should have gotten Nightborne as the Night Elf Allied Race, we never should have traded.
