I dunno, there is a toy that turns your character into a BE.
Mostly the reason for dark rangers as to why it’s not playable is because it’s not a complete model under the armor the npc’s wear.

Yes, Dark Ranger’s Spare cowl. It breaks on combat, but if you copy the appearance of someone using it, with something like Ai-li’s Sky Mirror, you can enter combat with that.
The interesting thing is that they have unique combat grunts for certain actions, like Warrior’s leap and shouts.

I wouldn’t think they’d give Dark Rangers outside of customization options, but we can never really know what Blizzard’s planning.
It would be nice that if they did make them options, they gave us at least the unique grunts they have now as an option.

I would imagine if they went the model toggle direction they would need unique grunts anyways.

Think they holding out with Dark Rangers for the inevitable Sylvanas 4d chess play and her offering her Dark Rangers to fight with us.
It be either mid/end Shadowlands. Or next expac.
And we’ll have NElf and BElf Dark Rangers.

Hella here.
This character is my attempt at making a Night Elf that looks similar to a Dark Ranger by using certain customizations, and the Mythic Eagletalon set. I think it looks decent. But hopefully we get the real deal in the future, so i’ll no longer have to make lookalikes.
