One meaning is essentially just “a utopia” so I’m not sure if this is just people being obtuse as usual or just mask-off prejudice. Hard to say.

It is a pretty ubiquitous phrase so I don’t see it as bad, just boring. Seeing as Dagran is supposed to be geeked out something more obscure would have fit the character better. Since WoW was some Egyptian themes why not go with their concept of after life paradise, Sekhet-A’Aru. Just replace Heaven with that Sekhet-A’Aru and you have a more interesting take on the same cliche that fits better with the character.
It wasn’t. Though it was thoughtlessly flippant on my part to refer to it like I did.

“Heaven” is shorthand for our Western-trained minds to get the meaning. The game (and many fantasy worlds) use this shorthand a lot. Nothing wrong with that, no one wants to have to read a thesis to understand the meaning of one line of dialogue.
Also, I haven’t even met the kid but I already would defend him with my life!
