It used to be if i had a problem that I couldn’t solve through tje knowledge base or the forums that live customer service was a couple clicks away and they were friendly and knowledgable. I used to tell my friends that blizzard had the best customer service in the business, now…
So yesterday the new patch screwed up my touchpad mouse, it clicked on everything i passed over, both ingame and out. I had to use autorestore on my laptop to get rid of it. When I tried to contact live customer support they made me jump through alot of obscure hoops that had nothing to do with the issue at hand. Then when i filled out the whole form guess what? The continue button still refused to hi-lite. So I was forced to put in a web ticket and complain on here to get someone to look at it quicker. ( I was afraid to login and have the patch reinstall). When I got my response i was basically told i should have sent my msinfo file first. i tried to do that when i was attempting to access live support!
Blizzard used to care about its customers, now i am not so sure.
Why again should i hold allegiance to azeroth when there are so many mmorpgs out there that will actually attempt to help their paying customers when they are having a problem?
btw please iggy spelling and capitalization issues in this missive.
Just to be clear, posting here will not get an issue addressed quicker.
Posting HERE for a Tech issue also won’t produce the best results.
If this is hardware related, we may well not have an answer, but it does sound like they’ll take a shot anyway. They’ll need files, however, to see what is going on.
Alternately, you could have reached out to Live Chat, or asked for a call-back.
I am a little unclear why any of this equates to bad service from your viewpoint. If there is a bug, that would get passed along - but this could also be a driver issue. In short, I don’t know if this is even an issue we’d be able to address, but we are always happy to take a look.
Honestly, your description is very jumbled. When you tried to do live chat - what happened? If it is asking you to attach files, make sure they aren’t too large. You could also send them along during a conversation, the size restrictions aren’t there during a live chat. Or…ask for a phone callback.
when i attempted access both live chat and callback i filled out the whole form all the required sections and optional sections and the continue button still refused to light up so i could click it.
What browser were you using? Sounds like it still wanted a field or attachment. If it appeared you had everything, it may be a browser issue that isn’t showing you something. You could also put in a more generic ticket and deal with this during the chat. https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/product/services/316/979/channels
It’s putting in a ticket for a more generic issue, she’s saying that you can use that to get your ticket in and explain the situation beyond that, explain why you aren’t able to put a ticket in under the appropriate path.
Quite possibly it is considerably longer when you go through the proper steps, ultimately that makes the end process shorter because they’ll have more of what they need. Since it isn’t apparently working, I’d work through it while you are chatting.
Of course i also didnt go through " Contact SupportAccount, App, & ShopRecover email addressLive Chat Ticket Information" because that was not my issue.
I was actually trying to go through the proper steps so i could talk to the right person about the issues i was having.
You’ll end up essentially in the same place. You may need to supply more info DURING the conversation - which can make it a lot longer. It is just more efficient to provide what they normally need upfront - but if it isn’t working for you…
shouldnt have to jump through so many hoops to get to customer service. i could have given them the files they wanted if they had requested them in chat. Like it used to be when you just clicked live chat!
Like it used to be was very, very, very inefficient and paved the way for vastly-inflated wait times for tickets for people that actually needed the help, because there were people ticketing for things that they couldn’t actually help with or just said “help.”
What we have now is vastly superior to the old way, and that includes people filling out tickets to get across the point that it’s something that a GM can actually assist with.
Ultimately, something tells me the problem isn’t with the game, by your own admission:
Certain adblocking or security software can prevent web pages from rendering properly. If you have any sort of script blocking add-ons or extensions, or if your security software automatically blocks scripts, the Continue button will not enable itself, even if all fields are properly filled out.
I had just tried this on my own PC and I was able to get the Continue button to enable itself after filling out all required fields in the form. The issues you’re experiencing do seem to be caused by something on your computer, and not an issue with the form itself.
I’ve been playing this game since day one and never had customer service like this I posted in thread about Battle for Darkshore quest isn’t appearing. I’m on day 2 and no response and no quest. Customer service is about helping the customer no ignoring them.
Cannot be reached by posting in a thread on the forum. Only by the Support link at the top of the page.
It would also help if you could direct attention to the thread you’re talking about, because there hasn’t been one here in Support for a couple days, AFAIK.
There isn’t customer service available over the forums. If it was on the Bug Report forum you won’t get a reply unless they need more information, it is simply a forum to report bugs. If it was here on CSF (and I don’t see any thread that fits your description) then you aren’t guaranteed a response, this forum is mainly for player to player help with Blizzard moderation. While they try to get to all threads, they simply can’t and the Blizzard reps that work this forum (who are different from the mods that oversee the other parts of the forum) do not work 24/7.
