We had a gorgeous weekend, but this week will be in the 90s. But next week should get back to normal. But summer’s probably going to be unpleasant.
I guess a town northwest of Dallas hit 110 yesterday. Thanks all the same, but I’ll pass.

My state is under a red flag alert. From the middle of the state going north. No humidity, high winds, and dry dead winter brush. Not here though so I’m good. (as I squish through my soggy backyard).
The landscape company is coming out Wednesday to put in a few french drains and fill in the low spots. Can’t wait! Lawn mower got stuck in one of the low spots. Took forever to get it unstuck.
Up North™ doesn’t need fire weather. Most years, it just takes someone looking cross-eyed and there’s a good sized fire. I remember a good-sized fire up by Mio when I was a kid, and then one just a few several years back north of Grayling that closed part of I-75.

Got my ticket ordered, along with popcorn and a drink. The actual ticket constitutes maybe 40% of the price I paid. I know theaters make their profit off the concession sales, but damn!
I’m not trying to sound like a grumpy old man, but I’m definitely sneaking in my own M&M’s.

I signed up for the Regal Unlimited movie pass for my local theater, gonna go see The Northman at some point this week.
Also discovered I am sitting on $250 credit on my cable account. Look like I get to say “screw paying the cable bill” for the next 2 months.

The absolute highlight of my day (so far) has been my coffee finishing. And I don’t foresee it getting any better.

Kitchen thermostat says 80 degrees.
Ac is busted in here. Under my vent hood at the stove where I stand, however, thermometer says 92
I do not envy you. I am enjoying the warm. Until I have to go into the kitchen where I have been simmering some chicken for soup. I need to clean the bones and make the rest.

It didn’t.
The AC was fine when the kitchen was set up (probably). Then new equipment that produces more heat gets added, and even if it was working, the ACs lose some efficiency, It’ll be miserable all summer, and not a thing anyone can do about it except suffer.
